I already posted this, but there seem to be many new users who may need the information:

The English suffix "-ant" can be attached to some verb roots to yield an adjective or noun that means someone or something who is doing (or just did, or customarily does) the action signified by the verb.  The root verbs that take this suffix seem to be mostly of Latin origin, that had infinitive ending in "-are"; those with "-ere" Latin infinitives take the "-ent" suffix instead.  Thus for example, while "to solve" gives "solvent", and "to precede" gives "predecent", we have "protestant" from "to protest", "claimant" from "to claim", "entrant" from "to enter" (Latin "entrare"), etc.

Remeber this whenever you feel the urge to click "ignore".

Nice one.

Still, the ignore button is your friend, especially when the troll brigade is out in force. What matters really is how you define 'troll'... different opinion than my own: not a troll. Low content posts trying to get a rise out of people: troll, ignore becomes an option if you still want to use the forum for its intended purpose.

I second that, and for the story, even I don't agree with many people's posts here I don't have them on ignore. I do have on ignore though a LOOOONG list of multiple accounts of -a-one-and-single-user- here... LambYourMotherEtc... Grin

Careful. By grafzep's algorithm, you're now on his ignore list as well ^_^

"Wordpress received only slightly over 100 BTC payments in 2014

Commenting on the recent removal of the Bitcoin payment option from the Wordpress subscription screen, founder Matt Mullenweg revealed the site received only two payments a week in Bitcoin during 2014, but plans to reinstate the payment option for “philosophical” reasons.

"The volume has been dropping since launch, in 2014 it was only used about twice a week, which is vanishingly small compared to other methods of payment we offer. […] We supported Bitcoin for philosophical reasons, not commercial ones."

Yeah, 20 grand worth of bitcoins... Barely walking-around money.

This is one of the most common mistakes made by Bitcoiners:  Equating revenue with profits.
Excluding Bitcoin businesses (which are basically one guy collecting coin from gullible rubes), companies have expenses.
Only a fraction of $20k revenue translates into profit, so yeah, hardly folding money.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we had the predictable profit-taking/panic after passing $280.

There seems to be support around $270 though. Let's see if it holds.

Can't really complain about going up by $20 and down by $10 since this time yesterday. Slow and steady wins the race.

It was nice here yesterday with all the permabeartard trolls gone back to their home at the garbage dump, but the over-enthusiastic braying and posting of yacht images by the otherwise more intelligent bulls was a bit much.

We're still a long way from $300, let alone quadruple digits. One step at a time.

100 btc payments is not the same thing as 100 btc in payments ... right?
Twice a week adds up to more than 100 payments, so I guess they mean 100 btc in payments.

How much is the Wordpress hosting fee/subscription?

Jean Porter?

I always figured Trollchop was a she and have consistently referred to her as that. She never denied it.

I just wasn't sure if she was born a she or if it was by choice (brony). The comment she made about a romantic moonlight walk on the beach with her GF (or something along those lines) sealed it for me. That's just too girly for anyone with a y-chromosome.

You definitely have to be somewhat batty to go into large boat ownership unless you have major money to burn. It's a much better plan to butter up to a future BTC trillionaire, use one's masculine wiles to marry them and then sail away into the future with their gains.

Or just rent.

Always buy a boat smaller than you think you can afford. It will usually prove you wrong... And it's about the time of year to have mine serviced again. :/
