It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

worth repeating.....

I hope this is right and "SOON" would be by either this summer or at least before the end of 2015.

I'm predicting a 112X increase within 2.5 years

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see $280 seems to be holding.

Let's hope we finish above $290 today.

It needs a bit of retrace since we are in a pressure area

Probably coming back to .618 fib from last high before shutting up higher (possible double top)

https://www.tradingview.com/x/s0RBVpxG/

That's quite a pullback don't you think ?

That is pessimism.

Really, the auction should NOT cause too much of an affect on bitcoin prices - and dying?Huh wow!!!!  that's quite dramatic.

it is likely that the May 2014 auction of 29k btc brought btc prices for the govt in the mid to upper $600s and then the September 2014 auction of 50k btc brought btc prices for the govt in the upper $300s.    Since this 50k auction is soon, possibly we will surmise prices for the BTC of around upper $200s.

There is NOTHING really dramatic here in regard to these auctions, and any predictions of BTC doom and gloom, such as dying because of a 50k auction seems to be "out there."

In other words, we have been through these kinds of large scale btc auctions already, so it is becoming more and more routine and less of an uncertainty and less likely to cause any kinds of dramatic effects.

I've been in to bitcoin for years, and only last year did I manage to get [a HODLING system] that didn't keep me awake at night.

And what was that? I still feel some discomfort.

That been said. Bitcoin isn't Gold, Steel or Cement. In theory an ETF (or similar) shouldn't be necessary. I understand that a lot of investors like to work that way, but it's kind of odd when they just as well could open an account on Coinbase and trensfer it to a Trezor.

hardware devices can fail...

face it hodling isnt easy.

Well, everything is easy when you know what you're doing. I would have thought people who trade in tech were sufficiently proficient. But you're right of course.

Plenty of investors don't want to or don't have time to gain that proficiency.

This, from the article, is very important:

I wonder where did you find *exactly* these numbers? Price is stable around $280. So you think it will drop by $50 and rise only by $8? What happened with $300 ceiling?

Bears seem to be quite dissapointed since the last low of around 160$, pullback was awesome, and if you look at the volume, quite impressive

It looks more every day like that was the bottom, specially with the news coming

Also my long term analysis clearly show a trend change in Feb/March 2015, and here we are!
