The good old days when we had central bankers:

That's a picture from Somaliland, which is internationally recognized as an autonomus region of the stateless country called Somalia.

So it's more an example of life without a strong state. Not sure if that's what you were aiming for.

These newfangled fascists are kinda hard to read.

Since it doesn't have a "strong state", I guess we can only assume the money printed itself.

Well, it's not printed by the Somali government, nor recognized by it. Formally it's on par with Bitcoin in that regard.

So the Somalians don't have a government, but they have currency that printed itself, and the government that doesn't exist doesn't recognize it's currency.

Not quite, but I'm sure you can figure it out with a few google searches. Suffice to say that your picture from a de facto anarchic state/stateless country might not be the best illustration of the perils of central banking.

You've got patches of what's known as Somalia that do have government, but it seems the rest of the world ain't too keen on recognizing them.

I watched a documentary where a British guy went there and fancied himself a Somalian passport as a souvenir. He got taken to a store down an alley and a guy named Mr Big Beard made him a diplomatic one on the spot. It was probably more valid than most of them.

I have 400 DOGE that say Whored is ICEBREAKER, although why ICEBREAKER would be trolling BTC is a question ("intellectual" play?  Pump XMR?)

Whoever he is, Whored's attempt to take down BTC on the most maniacally pro-BTC thread in the forum is an exercise in whatever word substitutes for courage in a situation where the actor remains anonymous.  At least Stolfi identifies himself.

So,
"Whored" ----> "YourMother" ----> "ICEBREAKER" ----> the same ppl Huh

Please tell me you've already capitulated. We need you to reopen shorts when it actually does roll over.

Unfortunately i'm stuck with an altcoin that keeps devaluing because of this bulltard run and i cannot enjoy profiting from this. Bitcoin doubled from the point where i bought, but my altcoin went down 50 percent. If i sell my altcoin so i can dump Bitcoin, then there's a big possibility of seeing 220$ per BTC in the future (of course, after the ponzi collapses), but my altcoin doubling in price (regaining its former value) in the meantime.

Can't do much Smiley

I still don't understand why some people think the halving of block size will make the price of Bitcoin fall.  It seems to go contrary to common sense - not that common sense always comes into people's behaviour but if someone can explain it to me in simple terms I would be grateful.

I'm told you buy security in anarcap-world. I don't understand why it wouldn't work just as well in Somalia.

Fun Fuct: A Judas goat is an animal trained to lead a heard of sheep to the slaughter, without itself being killed.

Not sure how this is relevant to Bitcoin, but I'm all in. Buy buy buy! Smiley
