I find it strange that the number comes down sometimes. Some miners can't make up there mind? They seriously don't know what they want?

It is amount of blocks mined with BIP91.

If some miner that does not support BIP91 mines extra blocks, it'll lower the number. And vice versa.

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

going up would be too predictable. I suspect one more big dump down.

Looks like a lot of people were left fiat bagholding during last panic sell. Now they are desperate to see at least one last dip. I think they'll be left with fiat bags and hesitate which alt to shoot at.

No, people are dropping it just below, then buying the dip, traditional market manipulation. Expect this to go on till the last minute.

Yeah, feels like a fed interest rate decision. You've to wait till last minute and some insiders know it before all others.

I'm not worried about the hardfork. As you could see the last 2 weeks, the other side is completely incompetent in terms of coding! Core devs safed their asses 3 times, although they are not involved in that shieeet!
Let Jihan, Bitpay and all the other corporations fork off. They will regret it pretty soon after the fork and will come crawling back. This corporate takeover attempt of the ecosystem and the brand Bitcoin will fail!!

The fact that a $40B network is now running on BTC1 should give everyone pause for concern.

Better not to think about it considering theres nothing we can do about it Smiley

Anyway, I don't think that many of "them" are really using BTC1 but core+segwit2x patch, the wiser ones at least.

I am more concerned about f2pool trolling until the very last minute and that people takes as negative if this first activation period doesn't reach lock-in. It should be irrelevant considering the second one is just two additional days but you never know... people uses every excuse to be scared.

Being so close to 80%, even if the lagging pools join the signaling for last few hours should be enough to reach the goal.

A price breaking upward through ~$2460 or so with RISING buy volume/pressure would signal a trend reversal. We would need to break the pattern of lower highs and lower lows into the next month.

Otherwise, we are still firmly in a downtrend. Because gravity. Also, overall crypto market cap still decreasing.

Still relevant... hasn't broken $2460 to the upside. Buying volume has tapered off. Also notice that perfect 'V' on Stamp. The whale(s) that drove the price down to 1830, drove it right back up to where it was before. Overall sentiment has not changed.

Must be a showman or maybe he confused 5000 with 500.000 Grin

He thinks the real target is 3 million using some special math analysis, so 500k is conservative in his mind.

But what % of miners are actually running the btc1 garbage? I was under the impression that most miners were still running Bitcoin Core and not btc1.

Well, if everyone is running btc1, then im sure I know now why the price is not taking off to an ATH. We can't get an ATH if people are running shit code.

What appears to be a win/win gamble is most likely a sure lose. Since he's only accepting USD as payment, I suspect very few people will catch that dagger if it happens.
