the Block that hit after an hour. unknown? and notice the block size, about half of all the rest... weird indeed
anyways all seems to be flowing, the block after this one had a butt load of transactions packed in it....
It's three unknowns in a row. I think this must be Craig Wright's supercomputer coming to get us. Time to die.

If you have a gun, why food? There a plenty of stray cats, squirrels. rabbits, coyotes, beaver, etc near the creek. I'm sure that I can find plenty of plant stuff to eat in the woods.
I think quixotic is how I'd describe this idea of living a Grizzly Adams lifestyle in a post-apocalyptic world. Well, when one lives in the foothills of the Rockies, the wilderness is not far off. There is plenty of room in this state. And with the federal government hopefully out of the way, that's a lot of land to be able to squat on for only 5.5 million people. When all that people and more go on the wild to find anything to eat... you won't. You better adapt to eat some other human beings before they die of starvation themselves. And right there is where r0ach try to do something with his silver... yeah, right....

Plus we have a big state just to the north that is even more sparsely populated. With all of these resources here, I'm sure the survivors will be able to make due. Unless the calamity happens to be Yellowstone blowing off it's lid. Then we're fucked.

I think it because Antpool will now have to switch off ASICboost when it implements segwit code instead of just signalling ... to be safe that it doesn't create an orphan chain or other such incompetent feck-ups these guys regularly produce. Miners are typically really conservative with code which it makes it so weird they have got sucked in by the charlatans on the "big block now HF" wagon ... which really is risky as fuck for miners especially if not done well into the future with lots of planning and notice.

what a pleasant surprise to wake up to see the FOMO has been hard at work all night and price reached (nearly) $3000. the people investing in bitcoin are sometimes way too funny with their panicky actions. not so long ago everyone was giving up on bitcoin calling it quits and now they are on a buying frenzy

Core is likely going to release a 148 patch for better security according to greg.
"So with BIP-91 lock in I am of the belief that BIP-148 (esp if modified to start enforcing at the same height coordinated by 91) is a pure marginal mitigation in risk for the network now."
"I'd like to do something there, at a minimum we could put up a minimal patch. 8:23 I believe that if turns out that there was significant false bit-4 signaling the harm minimizing outcome @will still be to enforce bit1 signaling; also doing so @will protect you from seeing the reorgs this enforcement @will create; so it's protective in both ways."

UPDATE ON ATH ATH ATH ATH GAME LAAAAAAAAAST CALLL LAAAST CHANCE FREE BTC BETS WITHIN 24 H, NO BETS TAKEN ANYMORE AFTER 21/07 23:22 (CET)
Didn't forgot anybody? What to win? ATH BTC date = 0.25 BTC + 0.25 BTC EXTRA for a specific reason why this date!
I bet for 28/7. Reason? Bears are afraid and will remain in their caves the weekend before August 1st. (And because there is not so much other options available now lol). BTW, volatility is finally doing the game funny again. Bullish imho.

I decided to put the champagne away. (Actually for almost 8 years now, but that's a different story.) I'm not going to celebrate until I start seeing these pools signal bit 1. Then maybe I'll sample some of my partner's green stash. Or perhaps I'll go to the local store and get an edible.

You know what change would have avoided this entire clusterfuck?
nope , 2 years ago any HF would definitely have split the network in 2 to 3. That's just it though. If the cap would have been increased before it was regularly hit, it wouldn't have been a hard fork. It woudl have just been the default behavior of the default client. Just as the soft caps of 250KB, 500KB, and 750KB were rolled back when they started getting hit.

The cap can be hit as regularly as spammers want. It's even easier to do so when it's larger in size due to the lower associated fees (more space, less fee pressure, cheaper spam, easier to bloat it to the max-limit).
