Core devs have no intention of stopping the 2mb fork. Core just won't join it. Everybody is free to make any fork they like. There isn't any drama. More free money for bitcoin hodlers. How can that be a bad thing? The more chains we have mining the same algorithm the easier it becomes for a miner to mount a double spend attack (or in the case of a segwit chain to steal the segwit coins). You definitely don't understand what you're talking about. The rest is just wishful thinking. Maybe not - but either explain why there is no risk or continue in blind optimism. I am long bitcoin and will remain long for the long term. I do not trade in it but add more overtime and replace what I spend, but to ignore the upcoming danger period is to walk blindly. SegWit makes Bitcoin protocol more robust not less. The "danger" period will be used to buy more cheap bitcoins, as always in Bitcoinland. Don't pretend you support bitcoin! By using "segwit coin" you exposed your preferences completely. |

Well we've seen bigger ones before and came back up afterwards. Maybe we will drop to 3500. Would be definitely a range lots of people who are stitting on the sidelines and watching would like to buy in I'd guess.We will see what's going to happen the next hours. But a drop was unavoidable. |

I'm going to wait till 20th August. Will have fiat prepared to buy some more. I read a lot of predictions saying it would fall to 3600-3800 range. Even if it is a small dump it is still a discount. Just reminding that I wont sell anything and I advise everybody to HODL the line like there was no tomorrow. |

Hi bitserve, Do you think the price will go up after activation in just over a week? I mean surely it's priced in as it's a guarantee now. Seems strange it going up at that moment when everyone knows about it. Also I know btc is it's own beast but didn't litecoin drop after activation and then increase in price later? Love to know everyone's thoughts here. |
