Wow, so much is happening...

So it seems Bitcoin Gold (BTG) is doing well. I guess it's that time of the year again, when I have to fire up my TREZOR and split my coins to get my BTG airdrop.

And now I read about another airdrop, Bitcore (BTX)! How come I missed that?

My plan is this:

1. Create a new recovery seed in TREZOR and move my BTC there.
2. Do the Bitcoin Gold (BTG) splitting on the old (empty of BTC) recovery seed.
3. What do I do to claim my Bitcore (BTX)?

If anyone knows the procedure for BTX, please let us know, I'm sure many of us have the same question.

Thanks!

Go back about 1-2 pp.

Thanks. I did read the pages earlier, but felt the info was a bit confusing on what to do. I read them again now, and I think all info needed is contained in the following steemit page:

https://steemit.com/crypto-news/@xwerk/bitcore-btx-guide-the-2nd-snapshot-for-btc-hodlers-free-btx-or-how-it-works

Will empty my current wallet (seed) of all coins first, and then do the BTG and BTX splitting. Will let everyone know what happened, so that anyone wanting to do the same can have some reassurance on the correct procedure to follow.

Please do, I'm interested in doing the same later today

I'll try not to dump all my BTG on the bottom like I did with BCH - I'll have some fun and try some shitcoin trading  Cool

If it is a coincidence that Tether is hacked three days after a social media campaign starts against it on Reddit, then that is a remarkable coincidence.

It reads to me like the growing hubub triggerring a bank run, and then Tether creating this incident in-house as a delaying tactic. Classic ponzi bank run behavior.

Ok let’s assume the rumors are true. Can we correlate the lift off in Bitcoin price to the date that Tether started circulating?

Here are the stolen tethers, still unmoved, in the blacklisted address. So nobody should lose money.

The price of Tether does seem to have a more or less inverse linear relation to btc from it's inception, which was around the time that btc found bottom from mt.gox.

I don't get what you are trying to show with these charts?
The 1st one shows tether price remains fixed at $1,  and falls against BTC as, BTC goes up., both not surprising.
The 2nd one shows the price of BTC rising?

Someone should look at the Omni chain data and graph USDT total supply vs BTC price, and Omni USDT transaction total values vs BTC trade volume.

I had a friend with one short leg.   To compensate the other one was longer.

You could put up about 100 different alt coin charts and it would match the rise in btc, not saying that tether isn't an issue, but, those charts don't really show anything. Correlation is often meaningless.

When we are at BTG trading/dumping: I've successfully and easily swept BCH with Electron Cash wallet to dump them, now I would like to do the the same for BTG with Electron Gold. Is this made by the same guys? just to double check...

I used coinomi on my Android to sweep the private key for BTG, and sold it on cryptopia a couple of days ago.

Damn! We reached 7000 € @ Kraken, followed by a very long vertical drop, which was promptly cancelled out by the Choo-Choo, bringing the price to almost 7000 € again.

CAROLINA!

I cannot imagine what taking USDT out of play would do to the ecosystem at this point.

Thanks, man. That is what I was afraid off, that somebody copied the whole site from Electron Cash wallet to Electron Gold wallet site.

Thats only part of the potential problem. If they (bitfinex/tether) were issuing tether without any backing ($670 million remember) and using margin on top of that to pump btc, We are in a lot bigger trouble. Not only will everyone who holds tether have a worthless token but we have no idea what any coin is actually worth in the real market.
Its been 24hours since bitfinex said they would be releasing an official statement.

I might be getting paranoid here but it feels like de ja vu (goxed)
