I dont know if Satoshi ever mentioned any of this directly or even in passing, its a massive coincidence for BTC to appear around the events at that time though.

Rick just came home from work and asked "What the fuck is going on with Bitcoin, man ?"

I just shrugged and replied with "No idea, dude."

What do I tell him about this dump ?

I have no idea what's going on.

I think you already gave him a honest assessment. You've set enough aside to carry you to the next halvening. Light some candles, pour a drink, cuddle, and forget about it for a while.

Just tell him that Bitcoin has been put on a strict diet, as it became unhealthy fat.
Unfortunetely that backfired, as it went into a hunger strike 5 months ago.

How to make Bitcoin eat again ?  Undecided
They even tried feeding it pizza's .. did not work  Sad

Color me shocked.

Well, no. Predictable. What did the b gold devs expect was the logical result of abandoning billions of $USD in specialized security infrastructure?

I love how all these new 4k resolution, 5-6k native contrast TVs that look amazing use PWM that destroy your eyes after looking at them for 10 minutes.  The only option to buy are Sonys, which normally don't have it, or a few Samsungs that don't use PWM when backlight is set to 13/20 or higher.  I think even the $1500-2000 OLED ones have PWM flickering just like Samsung OLED phones have it.

Do you actually notice the flicker?

I can use a laptop that has a PWM backlight for around 10 minutes before my eyes start to feel tight + burning sensation, then if you sit there and look at it for hours, you're going to have a massive headache and stuff too. They probably cause permanent damage to humans.  A lot of laptops use around 240hz PWM, which is extremely low and will always cause enormous eyestrain.  Most of these 4k televisions will use either 120hz (TCL) or 480hz (Vizio), and 480hz is no real difference.

Some newer Dell laptop screens will use very high, like 20,000hz PWM, but I dunno if that helps anything or not.  I will never purchase a monitor or TV that uses PWM at all.  Apple is one of the few companies that used it in screens and then got so many complaints from people spending megabucks on Apple products, they were finally forced to ban it from all of their displays.  Sony I don't think uses it either, and a few Samsung TVs don't have it when brightness is set to 13/20 or higher.

Well, according to the Zerohedge story a day ago, like 1/2 of America has $400 or less in cash in their bank accounts.  This means the general public is not going to be piling in as the greater fool to buy overpriced shitcoins, and all this market is now is whales like the Winklevoss, Roger Ver, Tim Draper, and a few hedge funds trying to scam each other.

Important to remember this (happened before will happen again)

this is called a false flag

a deliberate hack on a centralized coin (owned probably by the hacker) to move the market

'Bull Trap' is too simple.   It should reach 7900 objective and then maybe it sells or not but it goes upto that level because thats a significant price point.   I think of it being magnetised, we have to confirm 7900 to be properly bearish but if it breaks up from there we are far more bullish.    Traders should bid it up to that point then take their profits because the doubtful part is more risky and harder to profit on

Nothing to worry about for the long term guys. I assume you’re both willing to HODL until 6-12 months after the next halving?

That’s when the real fun will start, what we’ll see until then is just posturing & whales playing around.

6-12 months after the next halving - 1 bitcoin = over $50,000

$100k is possible.

Red line is McAfee's line. And green is mine. I think my green line makes more sense in this case however if we go below $5k (which i doubt but still possible), my line may change its direction to $50k. I'll be happy with either price in 2020.

Maybe McAfee added more FOMO than needed in his calculations?

I was crying all night...got tears in my caviar and champagne. I'll have to have the seats in my Rolls replaced because some of the salt from my crying got on the seats and now they are worthless.

jk...went to dinner with friends the other night, they had some big feast with caviar, shrimp, steak, etc. When I saw that their meal was over $100 I opted for the all you can eat chicken wing special for $20. I think they were close to running out of wings by the time I finished.
