Would someone please chip in a few bucks for the cause and bring us over $6500, please? Thank you.

At $6500, we are ~13% off bottom (@$5775) and ~13% from crossing the daily 200 MA (@$7375).

Purgatory.

I'd rather look at the last higher low which is 7429$ on Bitfinex. We have crossed the 200 MA a few times already and it was pretty worthless.

Zooming out to the two year view on bitcoinity makes me feel better. We are over 10x above the $601 bearstamp two yearly low.

Bitcoin volatility index is crashing hard.

Is this the end for the media's volatility excuse?

Volatility index currently at the lowest it's been in over a year at 2.5%.

Price started rising last time after the price was soooo boring for about a month and the index was at .8%.

No.

If bitcoin is successful it is still about 2 orders of magnitude below a reasonable price.

We are still in discovery.

If it is successful it will go through at least a couple more face melting bubbles.

If it fails...  well, that will melt faces too.

We may be in a low volatility time now...  and it could last quite a while...  months, even years (doubt it).  But it *will* end.  I guarantee it.

I've been following the price actions of altcoins listed at BitMex for a few quarters, and the price of altcoins listed there (BCC, XRP, ETH, ADA, etc.) usually get a big jump right after the quarterly futures expire.
