Don't let them have your coins so cheaply!! Institutional Investors Are Using Back Door for Crypto BuysOlga Kharif October 1, 2018 12:00 PM Updated on October 1, 2018 3:44 PM Institutional investors are becoming more involved in the $220 billion cryptocurrency market than many observers may realize. Buyers such as hedge funds have replaced high-net-worth individuals as the biggest buyers of large swaths of digital coins worth more than $100,000 through private transactions, according to Bobby Cho, global head of trading at Cumberland, the Chicago-based cryptocurrency trading unit of DRW Holdings LLC, which handles the over-the-counter purchases. “Wait until institutional investors embrace crypto” has long been the rallying cry for digital-currency enthusiasts as prices surged and collapsed in the past year amid shifting expectations for regulatory acceptance of the asset class.
... While the OTC market has declined along with crypto prices, it likely hasn’t dropped as much as volume on exchanges, which is down 80 percent since its peak, according to Digital Asset Research. Many institutional buyers have dived into crypto recently because the wide swings in prices have eased, Cho said. ...

WTF? I wish I could un-see that. And what's with the background? Dancing honey badgers and Amanita Muscaria?Thank gawd Bitcoiners aren't all geeks like Ethereum nerds seem to be. Then again, don't some Russian monks drink each other's Amanita urine to catch a buzz? I think I'll stick to good ol' ethanol and cannabinoids, thank you. It is from the blockchain summit. Here is a scan of the background in the last pic (added to original post). Nothing different from when windows 95 launch was a party. https://twitter.com/samcassatt/status/1047170495647375360

Hey mindrust, no need for name calling. Some of us are not young anymore. We no longer trust our memory like we used too.
I was name calling the airport officers, not old people. :/ Still, If my life was depending on that, i would memorize the shit out of my seed whether if I was young or not.

You can always take a pic of your BTC seed with you and cut off/erase one or two words. A lot easier to memorize. Then just hope you won't suffer a concussion and memory loss

I could memorize a 24 word seed even if just a good drink depended on it... on the other hand If my father's life depended on him memorizing it... he would be dead by now. I don't think he was always like that... so I must conclude that age is also a factor. I fear that some day I could lose my memory as I consider it one of my main skills... but that can even happen not only by age but because an accident or sudden health issue so.... whatever you do, keep some backup of your seeds. Also, a hardware wallet with main bogus wallet and an alternate passworded one offers great plausible deniability and should suffice for most situations.

Of course.... *IF* you have the main seed (from which it is derived) in first instance... which is protected by the hardware wallet itself.
