 Cool

30 to go, I really need to finish the poem, doesn't take too much time once I get into it, but getting into it is the problem. Even more so now when I'm sober. But I'll finish it and get what I deserve! Cheesy Like discussed earlier, no life-changing technical analysis posts coming from me, we have Hairy for that.

Cheers fellow hodlers of the BIG W.O.

Goddamnit man. That meal looks absolutely scrumptious.

I'm not likely to be in The Netherlands/Belgium with Rick until late 2019, and we definitely need to (no homo) go out and have a fun time.

Keep on living the life, bud.

On my end, I'm still looking to dump another $1M USD worth of BTC before December 31st, and praying we see a nice bounce above $10k before then.

Not holding out much hope though. Might just have to dump $1M at whatever price for... reasons.

EDIT: Also, please don't take it the wrong way, but please tell your woman "My strange faggot friend has taken offense with your obvious fake-nails application. Come on honey. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but please try be we aware of that stuff. Hugs and kisses bae."

Nah, some girls just need some "things" to keep their confidence (for reasons I can't understand) up, if they don't overdo it (those look just fine), then it should be fine. They are a different gender after all and our brains do not work the same way Smiley But I guess males try to boost their confidence as well, just in different ways. Human psychology works in a strange way..

These forks, Its all a nice big coincidence that will enable some huge bagholders to cash out some coins in a good pump.

I predict a shitstorm after, and some exchanges might go offline or something wile the dump happens trapping loads of people.

I've kind of been thinking that the more clear it is that bcash is a shit project, and if it's crash comes clearly and unambigously, then that would be quite bullish for bitcoin, at least in the short term and perhaps in the longer term.

On the other hand, if the fork remains ambiguous with additional pumps and bullshit shenanigans and lack of clarity, then that will likely drag BTC down with it, or at least hold off bitcoin from raising in price.... which actually seems, currently, like the most likely scenario (though I would love to be pleasantly surprised that another outcome plays out).

For example, if Bcash only dumps from here, and even has a decently large dump before 11/15 - but maybe a blip of a pump on 11/13-11/14 (at some point peeps are going to stop trading and even exchanges will stop the ability to trade bcash too), I would consider ongoing dumps in Bcash and even a kind of resolution to dump after 11/15 to be a bullish sign for bitcoin... seems like a minority scenario, maybe only 30% or lower to play out as such.

Rosewater is evidently having trouble with his site.

That was an enlightening revelation wasn't it?

It does make a load of sense. They are both really nice, genuine, companionable guys.
Both are hopeless with money management.
And both are technological wizards.
Now let's see if this post posts once, twice or not at all.

Let's just say hypothetically that the BCH fork(s) takes place on November 15 ... then wouldn't bitcoin actually experience upwards price pressures, rather than downwards based on a kind of resolution of some of the uncertainty

I take your point.

In this case I don’t believe there is any uncertainty to play out.   The fork will occur and there will be a hash war between two (or more) forks that few care about.

BTC might go up due to buying pressure of speculators selling their BCH and buying BTC.  But more likely the entire market will go down a notch when BCH dumps.

Looking at the current uncertain market, If I had a bch bag I would trade it all im for tether and wait until BTC has stabilised more. And then buy Bitcoin.

Didn't you two come out and pack it in last night? Somebody needs to read back the minutes of that meeting... Roll Eyes

Not only is bitcoin a 24/7 dynamism, the issues (and even differing perspectives) are never quite resolved, even when, temporarily, they might seem so.

I thought I'd spread a little of the opinions and information I've gathered over the last few days about the BCH split.

CSW doesn't want a fork, he currently controls over 51% of the hash on BCH, and if unchanged this would allow him to prevent a fork and not allow any of his opponent's blocks to form a chain.
CSW claims they have enough resources to do this for 2 years, and will do this no matter what the price on exchanges. This is really scaring the shit out of Roger and Jihan.

On the other hand Jihan controls/influences a shit ton of hash on BTC, which he can switch over to BCH if he wants to fight. If this is the case the war could go on for a long time, depleting both of their funds (through unrecouped electricity costs, because no doubt mining will be very unprofitable, more so, if the price crashes).

CSW has laid his cards on the table, and it's pretty clear he intends to fight, but Roger & Jihan have been hostile in response, but I'm not aware of what their strategy will be.

The war may also involve code based attacks on each software implementation, devs may not have hash power but they are inventive enough to exploit weaknesses in each others code.

As a BTC maximalist I want the war to go on for a long time resulting in less cash reserves for both money both Jiahn and CSW. Although the risk to BTC is well over the horizon at the moment, it is no doubt the destruction of BTC that is in both their long games, and whoever wins this hash war will be embolden to collect financial partners/investors (state sponsored?) and eventually turn on BTC.

Profit? At this pumped up fork price, I think the only direction for the price is downwards.
Unless one of them capitulates which I don't think is very likely, their will be many large  re-orgs and a major loss in confidence by BCH's holders and users,  exchanges won't allow trading until things settle down, but how long could that be?

Interesting Sources:
Vin Armani http://didyouknowcrypto.com/hash-wars/ - this guy still wrongly believes hash power is king, but it's an interesting listen.

Initiative Y is like a self-fulfilling prophecy. As millions join us, everything will just starts working. Watch, you’ll see! Infrastructure will rise. The institutions we need will form. But to build a movement, you need people to move. Well, you’re already here, aren’t you? Go move other people!

Disclaimer:   I don’t want to give the impression that I care about bcash because I really don’t.

That said, I don’t see how Craig can win.  Jihan controls more hashpower.  That means Jihan can 51% attack SV at any time. For Craig to 51% attack ABC, he would have to remove almost all his hashing power from SV, leaving SV undefended.  That just doesn’t seem sustainable.  Maybe I am missing something.

I did watch the video (it's about 1 hour long in which Tone Vays interviews Craig Wright).  Sure, it is a bit irksome to listen to CSW, at all.

When I decided to watch the video, I considered that Vays is a sufficiently focused person and that he would attempt to research into matters and to ask probing questions of Wright.  Surely, Vays did a sufficient job to allow Wright to make his various points and also to show some of the nonsense and evasiveness of Wright's points, without getting too distracted by confrontation.

I think you are right Jihan has way more hash available, but I think Craig has no intention of splitting the chain, if it splits and he can’t re-org away the incompatible blocks he is going to ignore his side of the chain and continue attacking the ABC side even if he destroys all confidence, he wants to kill ABC at all costs.
