I have completely lost my "touch". Never know anymore when it is going to go up or down next. Most of the time it just looks like 50% to me. Fortunately I just keep scalping here and there... but man this sucks.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Are you going to just visit or to live/sleep there in the seastead?

I really can't even imagine how it would be to live in it. Eager to hear your comments on the real life experience.

Wow. So serene.  I have worked in an industrial setting all my life; I don't think I could handle the quiet.

It's a good base but still needs work. A container load of plastic bottles attached to it with soil on top to get some greenery happening. Mangroves grow easy to get started in no time its a floating Ireland.

Never knew of the Republic of Rose Island, a short-lived micronation

Seasteading is the future, why work 200 days a year for someone who works against you. Why working for someone who has bad eating habits, or is a bad driver or simply does not want to care for himself.

Not sure who linked this series of articles first (I think Part 2 was the first to be mentioned here), but here are all four of them.

I agree with Hairy, this is a very good read that could give you a new angle to look at things from. Written thoughtfully by someone who has seen it happen from the inside.

Some of the things the roach says do make some sense, or at least show some mind at work. He could provide useful contributions to the discussion here, in particular contrarian views - often needed here - if only he didn't immediately slip into mindless monotonous drooling rants with the same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits same recurring bits

Coinbase's price per BTC is $123 less than CMC right now.  I just spent the last $1500 I was able to scrounge together.  Top Ramen until Friday for me, boys.  At least I have some kimchi to go with it.
