Even most banks don't require scans of passports and driving licences. It's a pity decentralised exchanges don't have high volume markets.

W0rd, my banks don't have scans of my personal documents.

How? Banks don't allow anonymous accounts. How do they AML/KYC without your docs?

In the something awful category, WeChat publishes real time deadbeat debtor map on your phone complete with personally identifying information and details of debt owed

This and many other things 'social' were predicted in this underappreciated book by Gary Shteyngart (first published in 2010?)

According to the following source, GRIN's marketcap is $4B (making it a top 5 coin by marketcap):

https://messari.io/asset/grin

Sorry guys, the favorite shitcoin of bitcoiners is definitely overvalued! Trade all your GRIN back to bitcoin!

Current price is ~$4.  Current supply is 709,000 coins.  So current market cap is “now” is $2.8 million.  Which puts it into the 500s rank on CMC.

Of course it is inflating rapidly with 72,000 coins issued per day.  So if it can hold its current price of $4, by the end of 12 months it would have a market cap of ~$124 million.  Which would put it slightly ahead of Bitcoin Diamond in rank 40...

My preferred metric is to look at the 3 year supply which values it between Maker and ETC.  Which is a top 20 slot.  But that 3 year time line also puts us deep into the next bullmarket so who knows.

So I don’t know where $4B valuation comes from, unless you intend to wait 30 years at the current price.

One of the Twitter guys with a quite notable number of followers had tweeted a very good explanation for that $4B number. However, I've spent my 30 minutes searching for his tweet and totally unable to find it. It seems like he deleted it (this makes me believe a little that the explanation was not accurate).

One way or another, I'll definitely show you that tweet!

you just go to a bank and show your documents in person. they're not gonna scan or copy anything this way.

According to a survey conducted by Bitwise (who made an ETF proposal 2 weeks ago), 58% of US investors would prefer to invest in BTC via an ETF.

https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/01/23/58-of-us-investors-would-invest-in-bitcoin-via-etf-major-hedge-fund/

"the survey saw participation from 150 financial advisors in the US market. When asked what would make them allocate Bitcoin in their client portfolios, 54% of them said “better regulations” and 35% said “the launch of an ETF.”

This is from Bitwise :

When imagination dominate reality, vous perdez les repéres (I don't know how to say it in english).
You need to accept that Bitcoin ETF  will never be approved. This will help to think better.

Tapping on a person marked on the map reveals their personal information, including their full name, court case number and the reason they have been labelled untrustworthy. Identity card numbers and home addresses are also partially shown.

This looks reasonable.

Within that projection there seems to be an anticipation of BTC prices going down to the $2,400 arena prior to going up.

Reasonable?  Perhaps?  Also, looks scary to me, with about 4 more months of BTC buying opportunities of some BTC prices that are lower than today's price at various points during an interrim that is before the next "uptrend begins."

Surely, a projection like this could happen? maybe has decent odds? 30% or 40% perhaps?
