Would this 100k party be open to anyone willing to pay the attendance fee? Can we prevent access to certain people not meeting a certain criteria? We don't want shitcoiners or who knows some undercover marketers attending.
Wait, who the fuck are you? I might not be an active poster on this thread, but I surely read a lot of it, although it includes some scanning as lots of it is of little value. I come here to read and feel normal again. I can relate to what the posters on here are going through. I might not care for making thousands of posts to get some imaginary forum ranking or feel the need to be one of the guys by having some virtual cap to wear, but I still feel like I have experienced what most here went through as part of the bitcoin journey we all share. Solid reply. Welcome to the visible side of the WO. Welcome to the light side.

Holy fucking shit!!!!!! I had not even realized that this change had taken place. There must be some kind of investigation and/or harassment of the local bitcoin's administrators to cause them to go down such an extreme path in such a short period of time. First, within the past 6 months or so, they had begun to require additional information to be provided to them through the deployment of further AML/KYC requirements, and some of us Local bitcoin users likely complied with those seemingly draconian changes, and then they went a step further (most recent changes), with even more severe (seemingly draconian measures)... Gotta be something BIG going on with them behind the scenes. By the way, when I read this article, and as I drafted my response post, I decided to go to my LocalBitcoin's account to see what was going on, and I saw that my advertisements had been deactivated, and it even appears that they had reduced my ability to create advertisements, and I could not figure out what was going on. I looked to see whether they had created some kind of notice or message, and I could not see any kind of explanation or disclosure whatsoever. Made me nervous, so I decided to withdraw all of my BTC. I mean, what is the purpose of keeping coins there if there seems to be absolutely no way to use their exchange, except to go through some kind of bank (or money service) transfer with any potential contacts? All of this seems quite sad for anyone who may have built a decent reputation on such service. I will keep my account for a bit of time and monitor whether they might change back to some version of their previous service or maybe they will send out some kind of explanation regarding what is going on that will sufficiently clarify the seeming change of their past practice. Seems like this local bitcoin's change is going to inspire the generation of some new services to possibly fulfill such a hole that seems to have been created by such a previously popular service.... also, could be interesting to see whether this is a world-wide change or whether the change only affects certain kinds of customers.. geographically identified or otherwise identified?

Alright since everyones lost their damn mind on this party here's my suggestion.
UK, London (this could be changed)
Rent out a pub near the Guardian office, open bar, maybe some UK chav sluts, whatever. Open bar, easy peasy.
Use an invite system or just date based.
Why? English speaking country and we all know everyone here speaks English, it has relevance to Bitcoin with the Genesis Block. We have a lot of Euro boys who could get their easy, us America have no issue getting in the UK, reading shits easy blah blah blah, we won't get murdered by cops (fuck they don't even have guns) it's all a good idea.
Keep things organized and easy, yachts are not easy, 10k is fucking stupid entry fee, fuck all that.
Find a hotel near the pub where everyone stays at and we can all help each other not die in the streets from alcohol poisoning.
Keep it simple boys and you have an actual shot of it happening.
So... a stag do then?

Okay Mr kenzawak : Meow meow... Woof woof lol I'm serious. It's sometimes cheaper than a regular flight ticket. EDIT : I wouldn't take my dog(s) to the 100k party, there will be enough animals there already I'm sure. We'll bring the whole zoo including roach, gembitz, jonoiv etc etc Speaking of jonoiv: Poor lil tinglie.... seems to be the most recently roached. Sucks to be him. I would not be rubbing in his bad situation if he were more humble and if he were not such an asshole in his self-righteous talking his book in an effort to get others (reading this thread) to follow his lack of incrementalism selling of BTC dumbness. but my manipulation! Are you admitting to BTC price "manipulation(s)"? I will warn you, don't admit it... don't admit it... You gonna get thread fucked (whatever that means?), if you do... But I suppose, if you happen to be a bitcoin whale, then maybe you could get away with such an admission, if you were to make it.

If we can't put a decent party together for a couple of thousand bucks a head (assuming 75+ people), we would be doing it wrong.
If you want Don Perignon on tap it's an optional extra, but a decent party with accomodation and decent food sorted in the price, some entertainment etc is easily done. Extras can be 'according to taste and desires' surely...
I used to work in the music business, I have a fair idea what a party for an upscale entourage costs. With or without extras.
