Apparently the old guard doesn't understand what physical scarcity actually means in terms of their old strategies. Is supply and demand really such a hard concept to grasp?

They are the masters of the financial universe. They can manage any scarcity for there is no physical scarcity of paper and green ink.

Do time and day of this bull run tell us anything about the most likely immediate cause?
It looks like the price has been drifting up slowing until it hit 6k, which then moved into a feedback loop of short position liquidation and day trader FOMO. At some point all the short sellers will be dead and then the FOMO will flip.

Still waiting SEC - 16 may
VanEck SolidX Bitcoin Trust - 21 may

This might be your news Lambie
(thanks Roman!)
They usually announce the delay for these ETFs a few days early.
SEC insiders buying to dump tomorrow night...?

So VanEck SolidX gets approval Monday Cheesy

20K by July 4th if so.

This action is v. powerful so likely some news in market yes. Well-timed news no less with the golden crosses and other technical breakpoints being well-primed for uppity action. But news has to be big to cause this, like what?

I'm suspicious rep. Sherman's bill is some kind of shot across the bow based on insider knowledge of some big news that bad for USD and good for crypto also. A medium to major cental bank is buying btc, Iran? BAKKT is coming on line next week? Fidelity news is big but not this big. JPMorgan annoucing btc trading desk?

So one guy commented on Facebook that this is a fake pump. No new money coming in, its just Tether floating around. Since I really don´t follow or read anything regards crypto, is that true what he is saying? I mean almost every bullrun was somehow faked.

Nah it's a theory that's shit at that, this pump is not tether based.

I have serious Hat Envy. Hard to keep up with the HODLers.
Go, BTC, Go!
I hope everyone else traded their free stellar lumens for BTC when it was around $5K and XLM was at 12 cents.
I did, and now BTC is over $6K, XLM is 9 cents, LOL.
Thanks for the free pump, XLM!

I think the US-China trade war intensifying last week is a factor. The affects RMB devaluation and trillions in Chinese hot money trying to find ways out of the country.

Looking at the poll, I see I may not have included enough options. We may actually end up closing over $7,000. This was inconceivable when I put this poll up around 10 days ago.

Nothing is inconceivable in bitcoinlandia.

1m and 3m charts have changed convexity. We might be out of the acute phase.

Acute phase has just started a month ago. It will last for the next couple of years!

I was thinking that a possible leak leading to market turmoil is more likely at certain times of day than others, depending on the source. And the weekend is a strange choice of day. So my post was intended to trigger some interesting backstage theory or tinfoil conspirationology.

Sure, as several prophets or pundits have pointed out here. I was talking about short timescales. Indeed only small ripples are left ATM.

Oh sorry, I was engaged in my usual counter-intelligence channel stuffing. I confess, it was the lizard people. All the details here

I was reading over some WO comments from the July 2015 pump to 320. The vibe was pretty similar to this and unfortunately dumped back below 200 about 40 days later. If we can stay above 6K for 40 days then I believe we get all time highs this year. If not then I expect to see a ferocious dump back to 5k or less.

Either way this pump is a lot of fun and everyone will know if we dump that its just a blessing to get cheap coins and not the path to 1500 and final capitulation.

Its a bull market ya know Cheesy

The russian government didnt want to buy bitcoins in 2015.
I guess they are behind this rally. If they started buying, we will see a crypto cold war. Which side will buy more?
