During such very sensitive period of the crypto market, of bitcoin, ups or downs are totally depends on sneeze of whales. Whenever whales look into the sky and sneeze, bitcoin and market will move up; whenever whales look on the ground, and sneeze, bitcoin and market will move down. Did you read the title of the thread? We are talking about Bitcoin here, not some stupid-ass shitcoin(s) that you seem to be referring to .... what is "crypto"? Anyhow? Call it btc and u ve some args. U might breach Satoshi's copyright - don't ya?

If satoshi had wanted changes in bitcoin, he would have stuck around past 2010.
Perhaps. But he left. And rather than no changes, we had The SegWit Omnibus Changeset rammed down our throats. The biggest change ever to happen to the Bitcoin Protocol. Well, since being invented to begin with. Segwit was a great thing to get passed, locked in and then implemented. Bitcoin has been bullish as fuck since it beat the fuck out of those naysayers who were then (in mid 2017) calling for its demise due to NO plans for BIG BLOCKs... and they seemed to have gotten their asses handed to them, the bitcoin naysayer nutjobs, no? Even though they are not dead yet, and the various shitcoiners and bitcoin attack vectors seem likely to pump again on the coattails of BIG DADDY, bitcoin. Am I NOT koreck? You are correct. And I don't understand why, almost 2 years later, anti-BTC fanatics continue to cry about how damaging SegWit is to bitcoin. There's absolutely nothing wrong it. Its failed nobody never on anything. Its one drawback is you can't readily send coins to bech32 addresses from some older wallet clients. However, the Bitcoin Core client itself has supported SegWit addresses for over 16 months now. Segwit was the shitcoin created - and got Support only from ano anarcho speculants yet.
No buisness for P2P cash or even the funny new store of value Feature ever adopted it - and never will
U live in a PoSM cloud
Case in point. Don't know why I don't have you on ignore yet. Problem solved.

If we can't put a decent party together for a couple of thousand bucks a head (assuming 75+ people), we would be doing it wrong.
If you want Don Perignon on tap it's an optional extra, but a decent party with accomodation and decent food sorted in the price, some entertainment etc is easily done. Extras can be 'according to taste and desires' surely...
I used to work in the music business, I have a fair idea what a party for an upscale entourage costs. With or without extras.
Frankly, I think $1,000/person is pretty extravagant.Live band, buffet and hor'douvres or however the fuck it's spelled, open bar, and security. And by invitation only IMO - posting any details publicly results in de-invitation. I totally agree on the 'no need to be extravagant' - I was advocating for way less than the figures being bandied about. If it's just for the event and everyone sources their own accommodation, of course it's OTT. Even if 5 star accommodation for a weekend is involved, plus a lot of events and a very special venue for the big night, then $1000 is still plenty. If anything is going to happen and with such a varied bunch of people, I would imagine people will want to just book their own trip but attend the main event and perhaps some spin off trips in bunches according to their whims (and who they want to hang out with). The spend is then optional and it means secrecy and security is reduced to the actual event(s). If a bunch want to go drive supercars around a race track for an afternoon, or head en masse for a Michelin-starred restaurant it's an optional add on. It would be best if stuff was organised in advance, though.

If this little soiree is going to cost 400 fucking grand ...
Each? A few seem to have settled on 10 grand a piece and 40 people. No idea why and it Weren't me. No, sir. There was no settling and really the idea of charging a entrance fee is ludicrous. This is just low brow flights of fancy. I think what we should really do is look into a pay per view type extravaganza with obstacle courses and medical teams on standby. I am sure the whole cost could be defrayed and the rest sent to a good charity. Or more germane, we'll all talk some about investing in Bitcoin. Which will make the trip tax-deductible. Lotta savvy biz knowledge to be shared amongst the tycoons of industry known as the WO regulars.

Hiring an appropriately sized venue entirely (hotel / country house... fuck it - a castle, even) might make security a little less of an issue
Unfortunately, Risto's place burned down. Of course, he turned a little cray-cray before said event, so there's that... Still crazy. Refers to himself as the dragon, and speaks in the third person. https://www.facebook.com/people/Risto-Pietil%C3%A4/100017679760266The last dragon got a crown of gold.

Risto is a lucky guy, he got in really, really early. I wonder what he’s up to now? The castle fire was a shame (if it was an accident). I wonder if it could possibly have been an insurance job though?

Btw almost HODLsleep time in a new unfamiliar bed ..... hope it HODLs along with me! That Said BTC at 8704 So 93,296$ to the 100K event gogo (we BTC’ers are planning good on time ) Your math sucks. You better go to hodl sleep. Lol, don't blame the guy. could be beer-wine talking. He (and his team) seem to know how to use their phones to take a sufficient number of pictures. Usually, the calculator function is within reach, too. Am I NOT rite? I know what you did here Bro:D He and Crypto Queen are in one team, and rightly so, the happy couple are supposed to be like that, but if you are implying that Mic hires many peeps only to posts in his behalf or something then with due respect, I don't think so. WO attracts different sets of peoples. Some express their feeling with long-intelligent posts, some with sarcastic comments, a couple of users show their emotions with grumpy comments, some butthurt and there is Mic who share his happy moments with his virtual WO's family ( as roach says " Instagram updates ) that's a beauty of this thread. Good point about the Calculator

No. I would have thought going from 0.18 BTC or whatever it was to 0.05 or whatever it is counts as having your ass handed to you, but I'm not up to date on the new math.

If that trend continues after the next blockalypse, I might have some egg on my face. Otherwise, nope. Sorry. Incidentally, my biggest buy in was 15:1.

I don’t know what I expected them to be like but they’re really cool people, friendly, looking forward to seeing them again in the future.

Can any of the segwit shills explain why segwit is better than a simple blocksize increase? Never seen anyone even try, and until such time I continue to maintain that segwit was a mistake.
