The Wall Street Journal Business Section - Some Bet Bitcoin Price Could Reach $50,000

This reminds me of an early 2017 prediction. "If Bitcoin ETF is approved, Bitcoin can rise up  to $5000 untill the end of 2017". The price was 800-ish back then, so this was 6x prediction. It looked pretty bold then. Of course, the ETF wasn't approved and yet the price went to $20 000, i.e. 25x.  So now we can expect between 25x3000=75 000 and 25x9000=225000?  Grin This is ridiculous for just a year, I know. But If we think about it, 2017  was the year with so many bad news for Bitcoin - China's ban, forks, beecashers dumpsters and last but not least - the futures. Yes, the futures was a bad news for the hodlers, since we knew that the price will be maipulated heavily by selling at certain hours. I still wonder how Bitcoin managed to overcome all this. Well, if not this year, we can expect some incredible bull run after the halving. I can't wait to see the fireworks!  Grin Grin Grin

The way the 'news' works these days. Online/Paper/Magazine etc. Is if they have an article like that this week. They can get all the 'positive'
individuals/types on crypto to read and/or eyeball their site Ads for more $$$. Eyeballs for Article for the 'Crypto Fan Base'. (all them Ad $$$)

I will bet that within the next month there will be a NEW article in the same area of that paper, that will claim that Facebook Coin will kill
Bitcoin and/or Altcoins dead. To get the eyeballs of the skeptics of cryptocurrency in Online/Paper/Magazines. Thus the 'negative' types
will eyeball such see their Ads for the rest of the $$$. Eyeballs for Articles for the 'Fools Theory' on Crypto Fan Base that Crypto is all 'Tulips' and a scam.

It is the 'perfect' way to get readership. Boom or Doom. Rinse/Wash/Repeat. You get 'everybody' with an opinion from the wildly optimistic on crypto/BTC/Alts
to the 'widely' pessimistic on crypto/BTC/Alts. With all the various shades in the spectrum from one end to the other.

Again, Rinse/Wash/Repeat. Expect it. Smiley

The helmet you are wearing is very closely looking to the one Thomas Bangalter, from Daft Punk, wears during his appearances.

so I tought about one of their songs:  "Giorgio By Moroder"

Quote
"Giorgio By Moroder"

When I was fifteen, sixteen, when I really started to play guitar, I definitely wanted to become a musician.

It was almost impossible because it was— The dream was so big that I didn't see any chance because I was living in a little town, was studying.

And when I finally broke away from school and became musician, I thought, "Well, now, I may have a little bit of a chance." Because all I really wanted to do is music and not only play music but compose music.

At that time, in Germany, in '69, '70, they had already discotheques. So, I would take my car, would go to a discotheque, sing maybe thirty minutes. I think I had about 7-8 songs.

I would partially sleep in the car because I didn't want to drive home and that helped me for about—almost two years to survive, in the beginning,

I wanted to do an album with the sounds of the '50s, the sounds of the '60s, of the '70s, and then have a sound of the future. And I said, "Wait a second. I know the synthesizer. Why don't I use the synthesizer which is the sound of the future?"

And I didn't have any idea what to do but I knew I needed a click. So, we put a click on the 24-track which then was synced to the Moog modular. I knew that it could be a sound of the future but I didn't realize how much the impact would be.

My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me Giorgio.

Once you free your mind about a concept of harmony and of music being correct, you can do whatever you want. So, nobody told me what to do and there was no preconception of what to do.

Sure it might seem futile if [you are] comparing himself to other WO members or even the hypothetical bitcoin holdings of other WO members (who are largely quasi-fictitional avatars)

<-- quasi-fictional avatar

The Schroedinger event may or may not be the $100K party. Only one way to find out.

I've acquired an actual, IRL jbreher photo. It's a violation of his personal privacy and secops, but who cares?

A little shocked you guys might think I was condoning bringing sand to the beach. Perhaps we should make it a no GF/wife allowed party......

Hmmm. Some married couples are in the thing together through thick and thin. Which one is the Bitcoiner? No single answer to that question.

Lambie I'd love to come to Vegas, but I must insist that we have a serious moment. Perhaps the address at the dinner could be given by that foremost bitcoin expert Ms Izabella Kaminska. I believe you know her well enough to invite her?

I hope you come to the Vegas party.
Sorry, Lambo Slayer, this was just a joke really. I can't get in to the US because of a youthful indiscretion.

Location aside, sadly I largely agree with Bob, not because I claim to be of the same ... girth as him, but still because of opsec reasons. Despite appearances I am very wary and hard to convince, and there are tons of things I just don't do irl. So we'll see.

I know you all could care less but if the party takes place in the U.S. I could not attend. I was a green card holder but used my regular (foreign) passport when entering the U.S. in 2003. They were about to throw me in jail for a couple of years because of this but was deported instead with life long forbidden re-entry. kind of sucks because half my family lives in the U.S.

I understand tough that Vegas makes sense.  Cry

It seems like we'll end up with a party on each side of the pond, with options to go to either or both.

folks, I just will attend if I can stay anonymous and only in countries with no death penalty because of OpSec.

I'm this guy here:

EDIT: not possible for me to eat something the whole time but I'm able to drink with straw.

Wow this is a brilliant idea this one! Why don't we all just wear these things and stay anonymous? Also nice to hide from paparazzis looking for some BTC nouveau riche pics...  Grin  looks very much like helmets the Daft Punk guys were wearing?

I would also like to see that BTC costs USD 9,000, but the reality is different. As you can see on the weekly BTC price chart, all indicators point to a decline in the following days.

There's nothing to worry about. It is also possible to play on declines using the margin, which may make waiting for the reversal of the trend very profitable  Wink.

Everything seems to indicate that the scenario from a few years ago will be repeated and we will see a drop from 30 to 50%, i.e. that we can see prices for BTC at 7,200 or even 6,400 USD. Chance to buy cheap BTC in the next few days if you have not done it yet. Probably, it will be the last chance for a cheap ticket for this train.

I’ll have some fiat freed up tomorrow again so I’ll hopefully get some more cheap coin.
Not keen on the price to go too low though. Not in the mood for a load of weak ass bitches selling to drop it low.

We are definitely going down to somewhere near $6000 again, HOWEVER we should retest $9000 about 40 days after we first hit it.

So mid July we will be around $9000 again. This is November/December 2015 all over, its pretty much the same. We saw a 200% move up from the bottom, both times, followed by a 40% decline, its possible we hit $5400 on a wick, but I would be looking at $6000-$6500 as our next higher low, which will then be followed by a retest of $9000 40 days from when we first hit it, same as in 2015 it hit $500, bounced down to $300 then hit $500 about 40 days later.

Nothing wrong with it, im fairly certain it will go down to $6000, HOWEVER I bought Bitcoin yesterday and I dont regret it whatsoever.

Long term, the difference between buying at $7500 and $6000 is small, you cant time these things, just ask the masses of people who didnt buy at the $3000 level.

I've still got some fiat sitting on an exchange, waiting for that $2,850 dip.
stillwaiting.jpg

I'll probably just use it up if we get to the $6,000s. If we drop to the low $6,000s, I'll lock and load some more.

The only way I see $2850 is if we doubled topped at $20k because we went parabolic again. With that said, I dont think we see $20k in the immediate future, or a parabolic move to $20k this year. I think next year we will see $20k at some point after the halving and then in 2021 we see Bitcoins run for glory. ($100k-$500k)

Bitcoin is the first and only digital object that is both quantifiably scarce and provably secure. This makes Bitcoin the next logical evolution in money… it's just better money.
