I just think you are wasting your time here. The BTC price is quite pointless. Adoption and real world use is far more important, while the price will follow.
Most guys will be happy with $1 as well as $1.000.000 per BTC.

I think the "Cryptocurrencies pose a national security issue" should be noted here.

The very first article in Thailand that came out about me and the seastead was just a jumbled mess of quoting 3 different news stories about the seastead but they made sure to throw into a random sentence "threat to national security". It made no sense and was counter to the rest of the article but we knew at that point that it was the military telling them to add that in. We knew that they were setting the stage for how the narrative would play out.

Our initial response was to try to hit back with our own PR before the narrative was set but the next day a more bold article came out with a clear message of us being a "threat". That's when we bugged out.

Fortunately for Bitcoin it does not need to flee a crazed military bent on extortion. But I can see it as setting the stage for a narrative of crypto being dangerous and a threat to America (and thus, the world). Then cue the nationalists who will "save America" from this "threat" without even considering if the threat is real or not. They will follow the narrative due to their "love of country".

"Cryptocurrencies pose a national security issue", yes, of course. But it is not the taxes being at risk, or the literal security of the country, being at risk, but it is the US Dollar being at risk, with all the corollaries in terms of established powers.
This is at risks and the only one risk the government care about.

I doubt that you are giving them any ideas that they don't already have, even though there are a lot of crypto ignoramuses in the US govt, I am sure that there are plenty of govt peeps who sufficiently know what bitcoin is too, and likely some of them are already participating in these kinds of bitcoin and crypto threads and perhaps even trying to influence the direction of our discussions to the extent possible... I doubt that usa govt wants to be in a position of ordering something that will result in both non compliance and then a direct battle because the  whole bitcoin thingie-ma-jiggie goes underground..

So didn't Steve say that they do not want to impinge on technical innovation, yeah... , and surely attempting to directly compel a certain kind of bitcoin with aml kyc would inhibit bitcoin and cause it to go underground and result in a direct battle, and is that the card that the usa govt would like to play.. ?  Let's see let's see, and I doubt that USA govt would prefer to play such a card at this time.

Bitcoin is not here to help everyone, although it is a desirable goal.
Realistically, bitcoin is here as a relatively rare "allele" that just might prevent total financial ruin of everyone.
Smart people did the math and realized the eventual fate of pretty much all fiat.
Bitcoin is a great hedge. Unfortunately, stupid FB caused too much of a premature attention to the scene.
Could bitcoin continue to be the hedge? I hope so, but it would probably involve some ups and downs (and more of them).
