With Gox gone, I don't see why we won't shoot right back to $750 where we left off pre-goxacalypse.

Because people would need to place buy orders and clear off all the sell orders all the way up to that price.   The Gox failure has definitely caused some potential new (and uneducated) investors to hold off and sit on the sidelines.

I think the other reason is that even a good percentage of experienced bitcoin users are also sitting on the sidelines just waiting to see what develops because they don't want to buy into what they feel is a trap.

I got 2 Apostille Docs that put me back $30 for Mtgox Level 2 verification. Should I bother sending them?  Angry  Grin  Angry  Roll Eyes I want to be ready with big withdrawals when Mtgox comes back.  Cry

Planned volatility, which is often worth more.

If it is planned volatility, that that leads me to conclude the average joe is not a player here. Which translates to not enough powder to continue this rise. Therefore, I am inclined to stand behind my previous neck on the chopping block call to short.
