That may well have been the longest ever post (in vertical pixels) on here??
If you check my Wall Observer thread posts from back in 2015-1017 I'm sure you'll find much longer ones, lol. Holy freaking beartrap batman
One of my old favs: http://fortune.com/2015/12/16/feds-rate-hit-you/In one of the worst kept secrets in economic history, the Federal Reserve is expected to officially increasing its benchmark interest rate to 0.25% on Wednesday. Martin Hochstein of Allianz Global Investors estimates that investors believe that the Fed will eventually raise the interest rate to 1.2% by 2017. But according to the Fed’s economic projections, rates are likely to reach 2.6% by 2017. Historically speaking, though, Hochstein found that analysts underestimated the last three rate hike cycles. So that 1.4 percentage point difference is a “huge gap that could start some troubles,” added Hochstein.
http://www.ustream.tv/federalreserve Assets and Liabilities of Commercial Banks in the United States (Weekly) - H.8 - Release Date: December 11, 2015 http://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/h8/current/default.htmThe FED is in worse shape than we thought. Looks like the FED is on a famous down hill Jamaican bobsled team. FED is well on its way to finishing at the bottom first.
Transcript of Chair Yellen’s Press Conference Opening Remarks December 16, 2015http://www.federalreserve.gov/mediacenter/files/fomcpresconf20151216.pdfThe median projection for the federal funds rate rises gradually to nearly 1-1/2 percent in late 2016 and 2-1/2 percent in late 2017. As the factors restraining economic growth continue to fade over time, the median rate rises to 3-1/4 percent by the end of 2018, close to its longer-run normal level.
The Board of Governors also approved a 1/4 percentage point increase in the discount rate for primary credit to 1 percent. Economic projections of Federal Reserve Board members and Federal Reserve Bank presidents December 16, 2015http://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/files/fomcprojtabl20151216.pdfGDP stagnant and decreasing = √ Unemployment headed higher = √ PCE inflation about to spike up = √ FED rate headed for 4% hike = √ FED inflation target at 2% = √ Total US debt $60,000,000,000,000.00 = √
There are some things USD can't buy.
For everything else, there's BTCitcoin.

At previous drops I've often seen "the Chinese" get blamed. This is new, I would say this is a test for Bitcoin as "save haven".
this is a test of bitcoin period. bitcoin will stand. It's more a test of holders. (not hodlers)

It's funny thinking back to huge posts from long ago. When I first made a bookmark for the WO, it was on page 673. Now whenever I come on here, it opens on that page, so I'm destined to see Frozenlock's twitching eyebrows forevermore (unless I were to update my bookmark, but where's the fun in that?). Leads me to ponder whatever happened to folk who were posting back then. I sometimes wonder what the ratios are for:
Still Around : Bored of WO and signed off : Got Wrecked and signed off : Made Enough to Retire and Disappeared : Suffered Psychosis and Disappeared : Died

Shit. I got scared when I woke up this morning and saw $6K. Anyway, that newest Masterluc chart shows ~$5,500 as the bottom of the triangle. If we go below that, it's time to get really scared.

S&P 500 drops 7%, triggering NYSE ‘circuit breaker’ trading halt for 15 minutesThe S&P 500 dropped 7% shortly after the open, triggering a 15-minute “circuit breaker,” which temporarily halts trading at the New York Stock Exchange. The broad index also joined the Dow Jones Industrial Average in bear market territory. The 30-stock Dow slid more than 1,600 points, or 7.%. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 7%.
On Wednesday, the Dow ended its historic 11-year bull market run by closing in bear-market territory. A bear market marks a 20% decline from all-time highs.

this is a test of bitcoin period. bitcoin will stand. It's more a test of holders. (not hodlers) im sure it will survive too. and while i cant say im enjoying all this pain (watched the stock exchange trip the 7% circuit breaker a few minutes ago).. much carnage still on the way. in just reloading my fiat reserves now for more corn myself as my last buys triggered and im out.
