People talk about health systems being overloaded but this thing is just freeing up beds by taking out people who would be using hospital beds a lot in the coming year.

What's happening here locally is the emergency rooms are filled up with people who have questionable coughs, while people who are actually in dire need are being sent home because there are no beds. I disagree with an easy dismissal of this event. It's a mess.

It does if it is controlled. I dont know real data but from statistic of 12 corona patient on intensive care, USA should have around 100 corona virus patients hospitalised. That is nothing. Italy have 14954 patients in hospital, 2060 of them are on intensive care. Their hospitals are overwhelmed. So not only very old and already sick are dying there but also others. Not to mention someone having a car accident. He simply cant have same care as they would get few months ago.

Not a big deal, like Wuhan, after a few thousand of the most vulnerable die, the hospital system gets back to normal. This thing picks low hanging fruit, it runs out of easy targets and hospitals arent overwhelmed.

Dumb politicians shut down society to avoid a few weeks of pain in the hospital system as they temporarily get overwhelmed. This will cause depressions/recessions and many many deaths long term as quality of life in general goes down and people die from poverty, commit suicide, drink or drug overdoses, etc.

They are making a suboptimal trade off that only benefits the short term.

Better to force all vulnerable people to stay at home and let society function as normal otherwise.

Bitcoin will do well either way, but society will be better off accepting that old sick people will die no matter what they do and just keep moving along.

This panic will cause more loss of life long term w global depression/recession. These people arent that thoughtful after all.

Stop panicking and pushing to shut down society. This will cause exponentially more deaths for non covbull related reasons long term.

Isolate old and sick people temporarily.

Build temp hospitals like China did.

Let everyone live life and let society flourish.

Yes, i was unprecise with this statement.
There are mainly only a few causes for obesity. The main is gut bacterial flora*. Also, there are some reasons for this.
Getting breastfeeded as a baby by obese mother, certain antibiotics in higher doses, and long term lack of body motion combined with high energy food.
Research is pretty new on that topic. At least the stigma of the "lazy fat dude eats a whole pig each day" is slowly dying (good!).
Nobody deserves to be harassed because of body shape or weight.

There was a popular dude who proved that nutrition doesn't matter as much. He only ate pizza each day (not fillippone!) but had a daily exercise routine and didn't gain weight.
The thing with the pizza is that the olive oil and yeast is good for your colon and digestion, so if you don't flood the hot disc with salami, all is well.


*There was a lab experiment with mice, a few years ago. They took obese and skinny mice, exchanged their gut bacteria (stool transplant) and guess what: The flabby mice got skinny and vice versa. In severe cases of inflamed colon, gut bacteria is exchanged via flush and stool transplant, symptoms go away almost immediately. I also bake my own pizza, including kneading and rolling dough. More than often.
It's just that i can't eat a lot of it because of fructose malabsorption. My wife and kids are loving selfmade pizza.

No, not a coincidence. That's exactly what they want you to do. The banks only have liquidity problems in the repo and other high-risk markets. (In the states we can get 0% interest for 18 months CCs all day long no problem).

With the Average Joe, it's inflation they want. They want Joe to spend more money, but they also know that Joe is broke and tapped out with debt. So they want Joe to spend either through direct helicopter money, and/or by raising his debt limit. Either way works for them.
