Well that was fun, the $9,400 bull trap is finally playing out that I've been banging on about for the past week Roll Eyes

Now to see which pattern plays out... not long to go now I don't think, about 10 days max by my estimates:

Something's gotta give soon, the lower the volatility gets, the larger the break-out is the likelihood:

Good call.

 Now, when moon?!

August 12th we will begin the trajectory to the moon. Don't ask me from what price, could be anywhere between $6-12K at this rate.

Alright.  Continuing hodl pattern around earth.

Indeed. Ideally accumulate while earth-bound before take-off. Still at a 50% discount, even if price could still drop another 25-35%.
No-one really wants to be adding to positions when leaving the ozone layer do they?

Edit: Here's a diagram for reference sake:

Technically this is to the sun, not the moon, but you get the idea  Wink

Out of merit atm

Sorry

Thanks man. He doesn't follow BitcoinTalk/WO. Will show him the post when we reach 6 digits. Let it be a small record of his story.

Hopefully he does not get shaken out of his coins.  When people are acting a bit weird, they sometimes want to cash in and buy themselves something nice.

I understand getting into bitcoin with a lump sum, but what about dollar cost averaging?  He could continue to dollar cost average $50 per month or some modest amount so that he might continue to feel like he is active in his investment, rather than just waiting for it.

I think he should be alright, he is disciplined enough to HoDL for a little longer. DCA is a good idea (will discuss it with him), but his home country (Malaysia) is not very Bitcoin-friendly and it's not easy for him to buy or sell BTC there. He could wire me the fiat and I could do it for him, but he considers it too much of a hassle, and his finances are not great anyway, so he's just stuck with his 2.7 BTC for now. I guess that not being able to sell easily has worked to his advantage, preventing him from cashing out his coins as you said.

Please tell me i did not just read that he is keeping his bitcoins (having a total current value of $27,789) long term on a mobile phone ?

Yup. That's right. $25,000 worth of coins in Mycelium on a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (at least it's not a 7!). He has backed up the seed in paper form (IIRC) and has also set up a spending PIN in case the phone is lost or stolen. He should at least get it out of his phone and just keep the seed. Will tell him next time we talk.

In other news:
REGN got 450mil contract on antibody cocktail (REGN-COV2) that did not even go through safety trials yet, forget about efficiency.
However, i think that it is the right decision.
Potentially wasted 450mil is nothing comparing with getting potential treatment incredibly fast-by the end of summer, believe it or not.
Essentially, feds bought a call option.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/07/regeneron-signs-450-million-contract-with-the-us-government-for-its-coronavirus-therapy.html

NVAX got 1.6bil-same type of a deal, more or less.

Certainly a very positive development.

On btc: any news as to why cough-bsv-cough rallied almost 20% yesterday? I did not hear anything.
A bunch of weird 'eruptions' in some other cryptos, with btc more steady (not leading on price) so we dropped a bit on dominance.

The price seems to be moving around $9,100 to $9,300 for couple of days now. Kinda indicate of preparing for bull run or I'm being so optimistic here?

Interesting how history rhymes.  USD FED dollars = Slave beads
The makers of USD never wanted the dollars, it's sole purpose is to 'buy' your time or rather, to convince you to continually sell your time.

Ayre's life support came in. Even then, it only reversed just 1 month of sliding against BTC, must be hurting on funds. The benefits of BTC staying at this range is the squeeze on Ayre and miners, let them liquidate now, better than later

Yeah, and BSV is so thinly traded that it does not take much at all to move the market that much.  It only took 700-800k of market buys to do that 20% move.  Dirty secret is it will take much less to drop it that much again...

fwiw, while i wouldnt trust a phone wallet with that much corn for years and years, i have had the same mycelium wallet on my phones since my samsung note 4. only spending money type amounts. i just reenter the seed into the new phone as i upgrade. never had an issue. although the notes/label i enter for a transaction like "this amount for this thing" doesnt  transfer, just the full tx history and balance.

gonna need to be careful moving them out of the wallet as he may want to salvage the bcash_lol and bsv (eeeeww)

im glad btc may be a (the?) key to this persons financial stability. but we know thats what bitcoin does.

People need to THINK.  And stop politicizing this as much as possible, in my humble opinion.

I have no clue what your talking about, all we have to do is stop testing for this to go away.
Critical thinking my ass.

man what an eye opener. i just realized that if we dont check for dead people and death certificates are never filled out we will all become IMMORTAL!

jeeze why hasnt this been done. are we that stupid?

BTW what does this word "thinking" mean. cant find it in my new, special dictionary for 2020

Critical thinking remains an important skill and ability, and it continues to be quite ironic how the concept of "critical thinking" varies in modern times, and a lot of people have become "critical thinking" experts in 2020.

Some people assert that they do not believe in science, and therefore they believe that they are engaging in "critical thinking" when they tell you that all science is bullshit, and you can get science to say whatever you want.  Therefore, there is no such thing as scientifically valid information.

Some people believe that they can select which facts to believe and which facts NOT to believe, and therefore they are engaging in "critical thinking" practices when they weed out the facts that they deem to be unimportant to the reality that they would like to have.

Some people believe that if other people went to school or university or even grad school, and they learned a lot in books, then they are out of touch with reality because book-learning is not real world enough in its application to on the ground facts, so if you know real world facts and you do not read any books, then you have advantages over book-learning in your abilities to think critically and to employ theory to facts, and therefore those book-learned people do not know how to "critically think."

Funny how lack of learning and ignorance can be converted into a form of supposed smartness.

I mean it is funny until it is not, because you have retarded people making decisions and then imposing their level of willing dumb on other people and even convincing people that viruses must not be real because you cannot see them.  Viruses are also unreal if the tests cannot figure them out, so if there are a variety of ways of testing, and some tests get invalid results and some test are different from other tests, then it is much better to just throw your hands in the air and give up on testing, because testing is a bunch of bullshit, anyhow.

Funny (or would it be ironic?) how such levels of dumb can be allowed to persist in 2020, even though we have a lot of modern technology and even smart people in the world who have studied a lot of the various worldly ways, yet there seems to continue to exist high levels of ongoing dumb that continues to fuck up the lives of a lot of people, and sometimes, we might even hear smart people spouting out a lot of nonsense regarding their own "critical thinking" abilities.

It's no secret in Silicon Valley that Suckerburg was a snek from the very beginning.

Although Larry and Sergey claimed to be "not evil" in the beginning, and look what they ended up doing.

That's why I LMAO about Facebook supposedly losing ad marketers, as if that was ever there business model anyway.

Everybody knows it's just a scam fabricated by the MSM to scare people into giving their hard-earned money to greedy doctors and transnational mask manufacturing corporations.

Not to mention those greedy microbreweries who converted their production from shitty tasting beer to shitty tasting hand sanitizer.
