So possibly, Bawb can't post today, because he is looking for a way not to freeze his ass? I hope he managed to sell his batch of coins, which he planned for today, iirc. Prolly sell some more for investing in self sustaining energy sources on his future farm land would be a good idea?
i think he mentioned area already planned for solar arrays and some wind turbines.

ECB took to their Twitter account on Valentine's Day to Tweet out a love poem about monetary policy.
Roses are red Violets are blue We’ll keep financing conditions favourable ‘Til the crisis is through#ECBmyvalentine #ValentinesDay — European Central Bank (@ecb) February 14, 2021 ... the delusion grows strong with these ones "Favourable to whom?" is the appropriate response. And are they implying that they will change financial conditions back to "unfavorable" when the crisis is over? Lol

I used to watch the prices of wallpaper vs the size of a dollar. I figured that once the dollar was cheaper than the wallpaper I'd wallpaper one of my rooms with dollars.
You may be aware already but you can buy sheets of uncut notes if you decide to go that way. The last wallpaper I bought was definitely not cheap. Edit: Just looked at the sheets and they are an expensive way to buy dollars. Decades ago I had a cousin that worked at some federal institution in Washington DC (USA). As part of her work, employees could buy at cost uncut sheets of dollar bills. She bought several for gag Christmas gifts. She got pulled over for a taillight out, They were found in the trunk/boot of her car, the police did not know of such a thing, they over-reacted in a big way. She didn't get hurt but they were scared, and not handling the unknown very well.

I hope Bob is ok there in Texas.
My brother has been sending pictures all day. I had to give him some Panama advice on how to keep your phones charged when you have no power for days.
Charge with your laptops. Turn off phones when not in use. Last resort, charge them in your car with the car running.

Firewood is always my favorite. You can cut up the trees and split the logs yourself, with a solid splitting maul and a 16 pound sledgehammer any log will eventually break. Pellets are also a pretty good choice, damn little pellet stoves put out a *lot* of heat and you can store a pallet or two for the ass end of ever. They do require a small amount of power so either have a good UPS, a properly sized powerwall or a small generator outside. In a pinch you could get a 500 watt inverter and run them off your car battery, charging with the engine. If you have a hybrid or an EV you are totally set for days.

the combination of the best performing asset in the history of finance being also the by far most volatile asset in history is a heavy weight to lift. we are not specially trained, hardened professional traders with balls of steel. most of us are regular guys who would have never chosen becoming traders. with selling the entire stash being just a mouseclick away, hodling btc is like trading - you choose not to sell, every new moment, every new day, every new wave of FUD.
We had no choice but to grow balls of steel ourselves. when your life savings can literally evaporate overnight, getting up in the morning, checking the price would be hyper stressful for a someone not used to it. it became routine for us. but it takes time for those balls to harden. and sometimes, for example when reaching a certain threshold money figure like $100 000 or even 1mio, even seasoned btc hodlers can experience high stress levels again.
I definitely recommend taking a little profit and treating yourself now and again. Not too much cause it hurts when the price goes up and the toy you bought for $50 would have got you $500 or even $5000 (though this in itself is good training to hodl) but it's definitely nice to know that even if everything went to 0, you'd still be ahead. Another thing is to make a plan and stick to it and remember that you can't predict the future, only make the most of probabilities. Also, you can't take it with you. Just take your initial investment back as that relieves any stress. Nothing beats Playing with House Money. ...but isn't that what our buddy mindrust did? He also said it was for peace of mind. Sure.. in theory, taking out house money can be good in theory, especially if you are afraid about bitcoin's future performance or if you are afraid for your initial investment.. but jeez.. you can take out your initial investment way too damned soon and then screw ur lil selfie out of a whole hell of a lot of profits because you wanted to feel MOAR comfie. I think that currently, my initial investment is about 1.5% of the value of my BTC.. something like that. So the BTC price would have to go down to 98.5% to around $700 for my investment to be equal to the size of the value of BTC... Why even fucking bother pulling out the value of the investment just to feel comfie.. hardly makes sense to me, especially if you invested in such a way that you were NOT investing more than you can afford to lose.. but whatever, if that's what makes peeps more comfie, then go ahead.. and surely it makes more sense when you are up 60x or whatever because taking out the initial investment does not draw down the principle nor the whole investment very much, but it makes a whole hell of a lot less sense if you might only be 2x or 3x in profits or something like 10% to 30% or so in profits which would have been the paltry range of mindrust's profit status around $4,500, which seems to have been the point that you were making, xhomerx10... so you and I, xhomerx10, are making the same point in different words.. wall of text from me, and normal talk from ur lil selfie. ...but isn't that what our buddy mindrust did? He also said it was for peace of mind.
Why does he sold all his coins at the bottom? I can't get it even now. If you have a work and hobby, you can just "forget" about your coins. If it fail, in factnothing will change for you. Yeah, you will regret this all your life "Oh, i could sold it and bought new Cadillac for myself!". But what will be (in fact what already happened in mindrust case) if this will success? If you've sold at the bottom, you will regret your actions much stronger than in if it would fail. No. The covid bottom scared the shit out of him. He waited until he could cash out with his initial investment and then bailed. I think it was around 10k when he pulled out. No. Mindrust pulled out at $4.5k (right before the very bottom, but NOT the very bottom), and supposedly he sold 10 BTC just after he announced that he had reached the 10BTC level.. almost too staged to be believable, and that is why some of the guys here continue to have difficulties believing that mindrust was actually being genuine in terms of having had invested 10BTC and then pulling out in the way that he did was somewhat inconsistent and illogical from various hard fought BTC accumulation efforts - though some of it made sense when mindrust was asserting that he had overinvested in such a way that he had well over 40% invested in BTC.. which also seemed to have left him no room to have his various living expenses covered.. or some nonsensical over doing the investment that mindrust himself described as part of his predicament and the reason for his seeming emotional inconsistencies. Another weird aspect about the mindrust situation was that the BTC price bottomed around $3,850 but then it bounced up into the $5ks and maybe even close to $6k, and then within a few days it went back to a bit below mindrust's sales price which caused several WO members to lean on him more heavily to buy back some or all of the 10 BTC that he had sold, and he refused to buy back any, even though later, he did assert that he had bought back 1BTC, which would have probably been around $6k-ish.. perhaps a wee bit lower. AFAIR he bought at around $1.000 and kicked it at $4.000 and he was proud to "win" 30.000 with his 10 BTC. So, let me calculate... His "win" turns to a loss of $445.000, as of today. Absolute Legend (but not in a positive way).
That's not true. Mindrust may have had a decently long history of buying and selling his BTC, so he did buy some BTC below $1k, but he also admittedly fucked up quite a bit, so he continued to assert that he was trying to reform his ways in terms of not panicking or whatever, which ironically is what he ended up doing.. but anyhow, he had been buying through the 2017 pumpening and also during the correction, so his average price per BTC ended up NOT being much different from his March 2020 sales price.. I am not sure if he might have been a little bit in profits, such as somewhere in the 10% to 30% arena, or if he was merely at a kind of break even point, and I am not even sure if he made that clear, except that he was getting out because he did not want to be in losses and he was anticipating buying back in lower inline with the theories purported by "expert" Masterluc and perhaps some other BTC geniuses who "knew" that that the BTC price was going much lower.. at least below $2k if not in the mid $1ks such as $1.5K.... Anyhow "knowing better" is a frequent problem with gamblers, people relying on bad sources of information and dreamers.

This is where having a hybrid of any kind totally rocks: You can turn them on and they will run the 12 volt line off the battery till the battery is low, then turn on the engine for a short time to do a quick recharge. I've run a fridge and other key elements (chargers) for days off a Prius+1000 watt inverter, the thing is like the ultimate gas generator with a 10 gallon tank.

I got to a point in life that I feel very old and I have no patience for anything. I'l just enjoy my sugar free coffee and my home made keto chocolate chip cookies, while I'l see some more entertainment on youtube or torrents, and here ofc from time to time. Good for you, but makes it more difficult to deal with more difficult topics if you are failing/refusing to research the basics of what you are responding to, and maybe that partially explains why you are so distracted (and excited) by shitcoins such as doge... I am imagining (likely an unfair extrapolation) that it sucks to be you, but hey maybe you ONLY know the answer to the "suck" factor of your actual existence, because you seem to be quite content with mediocrity... which sure, it takes all kinds to float a boat (or make a village), no? #nohomo
