I bought myself a model rocket from the UK today, decided to start launching rockets again, something I did when I was younger. It's gonna be interesting to see what the customs fee is, if any, now that brexit is done.
When I was a kid I used to make rockets out of paper towel tubes and one time I ran out of wadding so I substituted tissue paper (woops i was a dumb kid) So when the cone shot off the rubber band melted and the rocket fell to the ground while the parachute with the cone floated in the sky till I couldn't see it and was gone. Now here is the fucking sick part! I got home and the cone was sitting on the front walk to my front stairs!!! you just can't make this shit up! Reality is a really weird place to live. Nice. I used to do Estes rockets, loved the Scrambler (3 C engines) then I got into Aerotech bigger rockets with the F and G engines. Still have one in my closet along with a few motors, wonder if I can still get them. I could get back into that as a hobby, although since I'm a pilot I now have to follow all FARs.

next move up is setting up to be quite explosive again.
the bull flag upward pennant beneath 50k looks strong and if it's right about the exchanges getting cleaned out of corn .... well the only resolution to lack of corn is higher prices

I'm not really sure if "taking profits" in fiat can really be considered correct phraseology any longer. I don't think you guys are getting just how far gone the current fiat banking systems are. It's like saying taking profits in Zimbabwe dollars, or taking profits in Venezuelan bolivars, argentine pesos ... at some point it's nonsensical to talk about taking profits if you're buying a higher risk devaluing asset
It depends what you're buying. fiat or an investment (which your home is not) then probably not but if you're materially improving your life (even in trivial or ephemeral ways) then I think it's fair. How is a home not an investment? Is rent free where you are?

Your home is only an investment if you plan to one day sell it (for more than you bought it); if you don't ever plan to leave, then it's not really an investment.

It's an investment that "returns" a major part of your everyday life, in terms of recreation, privacy and space to express yourself (and moar).

Cool, yeah they were Estes when i was a kid. I keep telling myself to get a pilots license but I am just one lazy fuck these days. The one I bought is actually an Estes, it's the Estes 7000 Bull Pup 12D https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=+Estes+7000+Bull+Pup+12D&_sacat=0I bought that one because it's very similar to the SAAB missile Rbs 15 Gungnir, you basically just need to put a shorter cone on it and paint it green or grey, and that's exactly what I plan on doing.

Yes it is.... its an investment for a little piece of mind as an always last back up, diversification tool, a store of value likely to increase overtime, when you pass away its still a leftover for your kids etc you can see many ways why its good and I still and always will prefer it over renting a place.... Like in Belgium loans are cheap AF buy a house of X-price, pay a bit up front and loan the sh*t out of it.... renting is a lot of times more expensive ... and you get d*ck for it ...

Actually, according to my economics 101 course, tho only investment a private person can do is buying real estate, all other purchases are regarded as consumption. (Not sure if "konsumtion" translates to consumption in English).

Donkeyco*in sounds like a great shitcoin as a noble alternative for Dogecoin or so. What are we waiting for? Ya know... I wonder about launching "AnusCoin" - It's basically a total ripoff of Bitcoin, but max issuance is 455,455. Everything works on the same halving timeline as Bitcoin. In theory, this should appreciate 46 times faster than Bitcoin.

It's typical to own a big expensive house while working, then selling it and retiring to a smaller inexpensive house. Investment.
