I'm not really sure if "taking profits" in fiat can really be considered correct phraseology any longer. I don't think you guys are getting just how far gone the current fiat banking systems are. It's like saying taking profits in Zimbabwe dollars, or taking profits in Venezuelan bolivars, argentine pesos ... at some point it's nonsensical to talk about taking profits if you're buying a higher risk devaluing asset
It depends what you're buying. fiat or an investment (which your home is not) then probably not but if you're materially improving your life (even in trivial or ephemeral ways) then I think it's fair. How is a home not an investment? Is rent free where you are? Your home is only an investment if you plan to one day sell it (for more than you bought it); if you don't ever plan to leave, then it's not really an investment. Yes it is.... its an investment for a little piece of mind as an always last back up, diversification tool, a store of value likely to increase overtime, when you pass away its still a leftover for your kids etc you can see many ways why its good and I still and always will prefer it over renting a place.... Like in Belgium loans are cheap AF buy a house of X-price, pay a bit up front and loan the sh*t out of it.... renting is a lot of times more expensive ... and you get d*ck for it ... Actually, according to my economics 101 course, tho only investment a private person can do is buying real estate, all other purchases are regarded as consumption. (Not sure if "konsumtion" translates to consumption in English).

I wonder about launching "AnusCoin" - It's basically a total ripoff of Bitcoin, but max issuance is 455,455. Everything works on the same halving timeline as Bitcoin. In theory, this should appreciate 46 times faster than Bitcoin.

It's typical to own a big expensive house while working, then selling it and retiring to a smaller inexpensive house. Investment.

Took a look at the Estes Scrambler on the tube, looks like a cool rocket with the payload section and the three engines.

... mind virus of holding bitcoin on corporate balance sheet has spread to Europe, 1 case in recorded in Germany https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cannabis/21/02/19682496/synbiotic-se-becomes-the-first-publicly-traded-company-in-germany-to-hedge-against-euro-currencyGiven the excessive increase in money supply in both the euro and USD zones, there is legitimate concern about a massive devaluation of fiat money. The cannabis company SynBiotic SE (XETRA; ISIN: DE000A2LQ777 / WKN: A2LQ77) is therefore set to become the first listed company in Germany to hedge against the devaluation of the euro with bitcoin. Hence, SynBiotic SE has started to shift some of its free liquidity into bitcoin.
SynBiotic SE CEO Lars Müller says of the decision: "Our decision focused less on price fluctuations than the risk of devaluation of euro and dollar. Bitcoin is the exact antithesis of traditional currencies: its volume is limited to 21 million units. This limit is fixed and inviolable, which the cryptocurrency‘s decentralized organization and the blockchain‘s tamper-proof nature in turn guarantees. For this reason, we have more long-term confidence in bitcoin than in euros or dollars, where a central institution, influenced by politicians, can expand the money supply immeasurably. In addition, the cannabis sector in particular has had very positive experiences with bitcoin as a simple and digital means of payment. Several SynBiotic subsidiaries already accept payments in bitcoin in addition to payments in euros."

Last week I had too much work and missed the time corn went over 40000€. Now it's firmly over that. My father is nagging me to sell, to give money to my sister (by selling), I told him countless times I sold enough (too much) and am not going to sell anymore until much higher prices if ever, but he continues, annoying !

Why would you have to sell to give money to your sister (unless it’s a combined family investment). I’d tell my Dad to get lost in all honesty. Bitcoin is your journey, you’re the one who invested in a new, possibly risky asset (at the time). Nobody else deserves a single satoshi, I’d tell him that too.
