Nah man! You all alone there! No recruiting buddies in the rubber rooms!!! Look.....
Political map of Russia: 46 oblasts, 22 republics, 9 krais, 4 autonomous okrugs, 3 federal cities, 1 autonomous oblast Total of 85 ! So, we (the West) should create 85 independent countries, then we make out of them a Russian Union like the European Union, and then we do something like Shengen with them, and make them have 85 different presidents. Then they should have their own NATO group with 85 different veto votes that they can do and that group should be under the oversight of NATO and NATO to be under the oversight of that group, after they both have the same view, laws and values. .. LAMO!! Yup! All Alone... No man. We will conquer ruskia then we divided it in more than 85 countries. Maybe 450+ could be a good number of countries.

Today, Marty Bent released his 2 hour+ Tales from the Crypt podcast interview with Paul London, and London makes some good points regarding how both the motivations of Russia and the likely outcome of the USA's seeming heavy-handed-ness with financial sanctions may end up causing some acceleration of the dollar demise that comes faster than anticipated. London also describes that some of Russia's most recent missile technology developments that the USA denies , but ends up painting the USA in pretty handicapped position when it comes to playing any kind of nuclear card or any kind of direct-combat game with Russia. Of course, since this is a Tales from the Crypt podcast there ends up being wee bit of a bitcoin angle to the discussion (at the end), even though London does not seems to be very bullish ab out bitcoin's role or likely fate. London seems to have some beliefs that governments have an ability to regulate Bitcoin into oblivion, so maybe London's current errors in thinking causes him to be more of a pre-coiner rather than a no-coiner? perhaps? perhaps? Your linkey is brokey. dis works https://overcast.fm/+KiHpcj93si think/hope the main talking dude is wrong in his assessment of their capabilities. probably just scaremongering, imho. Timestamp? 56:30-1:02:00 ...but I think that he is exaggerating it, or least I hope. I am a baby of the relatively stable MAD era, can't really think of the alternatives.

I read the removed article earlier today, yeah it's really "out there". Notice how there is no mention of a way for this new USSR to actually compete in the modern world, with education to get scientists and engineers, to make stuff. No, it's all about the demise of the West...
Nice pump, I didn't expect that.

Timestamp? 56:30-1:02:00 ...but I think that he is exaggerating it, or least I hope. I am a baby of the relatively stable MAD era, can't really think of the alternatives. He might be wrong, as you stated.. but it seems a bit much to suggest that he is scaremongering... ... We do know that militaries might sometimes have capabilities that the public does not know that they have, and also the USA is considered to be more open than Russia.. so sometimes Russia might be exaggerating... but we know that both sides exaggerate - and there is some decent amount of logic that the USA may well be exaggerating its own capabilities, so there are not really abilities to win on a technological level.. and for sure the USA does not want to believe that anyone else could be number 1, but the USA has also gotten into similar kinds of problems when it farms out so much of its production capabilities to China.. .so then China learns how to do stuff and they have capabilities of doing things and producing things while the USA does not even have that capability.. The USA only knows how to consume and to create fantasy visions of the world through hollywood, web3, gaming, financial smoke and mirrors, etc.. The USA likes to paint the Russians as technologically backwards, but there could be some truth in their war strategizing .. even though I doubt that they really were prepared for all of the so far cutting off reactions from the west.. . and how long they might be able to sustain themselves and keep alliances with China without China becoming uncomfortable with some of that,.. too... The Russians may well get painted into a corner in which they feel that they have to show their capabilities.. but does not necessarily mean that would be a good idea, either... that might be part of the reason why several months into the future, pretty strong tensions are going to remain.. and some needs for one or the other (or both to blink a wee bit.. take a breather... is that even possible? or are we still in the stage of escalation.. and for how long?)

There has already been intense traffic over the Bosporus in the past few days. I mean warships, mostly Russian. IOW: Who needed to pass has already done so. Erdogan is closing the door a bit late. Why such a late move? Because the economy has been nosediving for a while, and Russia is one of Turkey's most important commercial partners. Now the sanctions show how serious most of the world is about this, so Recep does what he should have done the day before yesterday.

Even if they did it earlier, incoming Russian warships would have been allowed, and will still be allowed, so this makes no difference.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VA-111_ShkvalThe VA-111 Shkval (from Russian: шквaл, squall) torpedo and its descendants are supercavitating torpedos ..... They are capable of speeds in excess of 200 knots (370 km/h or 230 miles/h).
... Some reports indicate that the VA-111 possibly exceeds speeds of 250 kn (460 km/h; 290 mph), and that work on a 300 kn (560 km/h; 350 mph) version was underway.
...
All current versions are believed to be fitted only with conventional explosive warheads, although the original design used a nuclear warhead.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-500_missile_systemThe S-500 Prometey (Russian: C-500 Пpoмeтeй, lit. 'Prometheus'), also known as 55R6M "Triumfator-M",[2] is a Russian surface-to-air missile/anti-ballistic missile system intended to replace the A-135 missile system currently in use, and supplement the S-400 ... [3][4] With its characteristics, according to Pravda Report, it is unrivaled by any other similar system in the world, being the first in a new class of space-defense weapons. ...
The S-500 is designed for intercepting and destroying intercontinental ballistic missiles, as well as hypersonic cruise missiles and aircraft, for air defense against Airborne Early Warning and Control and for jamming aircraft.[citation needed] With a planned range of 600 km (370 mi) for anti-ballistic missile (ABM) and 500 km (310 mi) for air defense,[22] the S-500 would be able to detect and simultaneously engage up to 10 ballistic hypersonic targets flying at a speed of 5 kilometres per second (3.1 mi/s; 18,000 km/h; 11,000 mph)[23][24] to a limit of 7 km/s (4.3 mi/s; 25,000 km/h; 16,000 mph).[25][26] It also aims at destroying hypersonic cruise missiles and other aerial targets at speeds of higher than Mach 5, as well as spacecraft.[citation needed] The altitude of a target engaged can be as high as 180–200 km (110–120 mi).[citation needed] It is effective against ballistic missiles with a launch range of 3,500 km (2,200 mi), the radar reaches a radius of 3,000 km (1,300 km for the EPR 0,1 square meter).

Russia will never have a united people with Ukraine now. Instead they will have a permanent enemy. Ukraine has not forgotten (not close) their Holomodor, their disaster inflicted on them by Stalin. And now Putin comes in and kills hundreds (or thousands) so far, destroys much of the Ukraine, and has the nerve to call Ukraine "Nazis" (with a Jewish president). If Russia "wins", they will find a mad hornet's nest that will never go away once the Ukrainians learn to make IEDs. If Russia loses, I doubt they'll offer apologies or restitution. Russia will be a big loser there in the Ukraine. Perhaps some Russian general will put a 9mm into Putin's forehead and end this horror...

Ships returning to a home port are allowed through. Crimea etc. is Russia, right? So they get the green light. IMO, this move by Erdogan is just a show anyway.

Welp, the guy sounds like a moron to me. It literally doesn't matter how fast the ballistic missiles are and saying we would have no response if Russia attacked is pure bullshit. The guy is fearmongering with lies. I'm sure the gaslit folks will buy it hook line and sinker but anyone else should know its a load of crap.

Not just Crimea, there is actual Russian coast and ports on the Black Sea in case Turkey doesn't want to recognize Crimea as part of Russia, so yeah.

I wonder if you've ever considered where Russia might be thinking of for a potential Poseidon deployment? ... not any land-locked countries, most likely an Island nation? or continental coastline? with a major CBD center, and on an estuary ... like London? or Amsterdam? or New York? or the Potomac? ... not that I would want any of that to happen but you've got to think practically about these things if you go to war, "cross red lines", steal people's money, blockade their trade, etc, etc ... what are your opponents capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, etc? ... not fearmongering but screaming "lies, lies, lies" in panicked denial is a sure recipe to get blind-sided by a superior military power ... why do you think NATO(USA) has been pushing so hard to get it's missiles so close to Russia, like in Ukraine literally on Russia's border? ... maybe because Russia has developed capability to bring down any missiles launched from further out, rendering most of ICBM fleet useless?
