$44,000 has fallen.
Seems like there’s a real battle here, can we sustain prices above $44,000?

3 possible outcomes I reckon: - Pressure on Putin will make him retreat or broker some sort of temporary peace deal (perhaps annexing the two smaller eastern Ukrainian areas already "declared independent" and sticking with that - again I reckon this is only temporary and possibly only prolongs another mammoth attack on Ukraine in some years into the future). This may reduce some sanctions again. - Putin continues the onslaught until Ukraine waves the white flag. No sanctions dropped and could cause more trouble. - Putin continues the onslaught until Ukraine is completely destroyed. No sanctions dropped and could cause more trouble. There are ceasefire talks going on. It's still possible that some kind of diplomatic solution can be found, maybe Ukraine will declare neutrality and then Russia will leave. Who knows. But I think there are far more possible outcomes than the 3 you have listed. Hopefully, it gets resolved soon and via a diplomatic solution. I don't like any poor people dying for their masters, Ukraine or Russia.

Didn't someone recently predict that we were going down to $25k? HoDL.Down to $25k were the conservative ones... and they said it was "for sure," too. Many of us know that it is only "for sure" after it already happens rather than before-hand. Sure, a mere 4-hour bump of $3.5k from $38k to $41.5k (as I type this post) is nothing in which we can absolutely rest our laurels.. and I am still not going to start to feel comfortable until getting above $46k for a day or so... .. even if we were to have a $20k week candle (or maybe a 3-day) (seems like a fantasy to be thinking about 50% up, no?)... there needs to be some sustainability.. even though those kinds of moves do cause some price cushion and do end up costing those who want to try to expend capital to push the BTC price back down to its earlier lower levels. Bitcoin's recent price performance, amidst the Russo-Ukrainian conflict, certainly serves as yet another confirmation of the sheer strength and robustness in its design. I'm fairly confident that prices of $25k, and certainly those below the 200-Week Moving Average indicator (currently at $20k), will never be visited again, thereby affirming the current "fuck-you" rich status Bitcoin threshold at 100 BTC. In fact, and this is purely a SOMA guess, I expect Bitcoin to pleasantly "surprise" us this year, with prices exceeding ATH, and possibly nearing 6-digit territory. This will gradually lower the above "fuck-you" rich status threshold, thus giving more hope of attaining such status to the octopuses, crabs, and other low-end marine species out there. Studying the history of the 200-Week MA indicator, it can be seen that there is at least an order-of-magnitude (10x) increase in its value roughly every 3.5 years. Assuming that this trend will continue, one can expect its value to reach about $200k in early 2026, at which point owners of a mere 10 BTC can safely attain "fuck-you" rich status and start seriously enjoying their Lambos, hookers & blow. tl;dr: In 2026, 10 BTC = "Fuck-You" rich. <--- mindrust could have been there. Make sure you are! I've been thinking about hookers, lambos and blow ever since my BTC became far more valuable than anything I've ever owned or had access to (fiat / homes etc) and of course since these are mentioned exactly in this thread a lot. Blow I don't do it at all, I've never felt comfortable smoking anything. I smoked a bit leisurely when going out at during university days 20 odd years ago but never since. To be fair I did do Shisha smoking when I was in Dubai. It was fun. Peppermint flavour seemed nice. Don't know if I'll ever go back. Lambos I think more expensive cars might just be a fucking headache for me to be honest regardless of how much my BTC would be worth. I already am too greedy to spend much on a cheapish SUV. I hardly drive these days. I was thinking about getting an Elon Musk Kart in a Model 3 or Model Y and could easily miss a BTC or part of one to get it. But they still seem pretty expensive to me (almost any new car is compared to what I used to pay) and I do worry about the whole electric carry on. The range often seems far too good to be true. Maybe think of them as achieving 60-65% per charge at most. Meh. It's less miles than a full tank of petrol in my current SUV which still drives pretty well. It just has a terrible stereo. HookersI can easily afford pretty top notch ones with my dirty fiat money. There are also some "actresses" available here in the UK who I have admired privately quite a bit but I've often heard these are not worth the extra charge. Maybe I should just try and see for myself. Again it's been something I've been thinking about. I probably just overthink most things and should enjoy life a bit more. I'm finding the more wealth I have had, the more careful I have become. It seems a bit ironic.

I hired a model 3 long range just this weekend to give it a go. It was already 3 years old and when fully charged the car told me that it had around 280 miles of range (New I believe they have around 350 miles). I was a bit dissapointed with the finish internally. The steering wheel felt like something out of a cheap simulator, the sun visors like thick cardboard and the 'wood' effect dash was just plain yuk. The one redeeming feature was the acceleration which is like nothing I had experienced before. Ludicriously quick. However, once you get to a certain age that feeling of wanting to go flat out everywhere wanes and you yearn for a more luxurious drive. The driving was easy enough and you hardly ever use the brake pedal due to the regen braking. I would just like more interior luxury for £50,000. I know what you mean regarding being more careful with your money as you get wealthier although I believe it is more of a bitcoin thing. Every time I have spent some bitcoin I look back at just how much it cost in todays value!!! My DJI Mavic Pro is in todays rate a $44,500 drone!

56:30-1:02:00 ...but I think that he is exaggerating it, or least I hope. I am a baby of the relatively stable MAD era, can't really think of the alternatives.
Welp, the guy sounds like a moron to me. It literally doesn't matter how fast the ballistic missiles are and saying we would have no response if Russia attacked is pure bullshit. The guy is fearmongering with lies. I'm sure the gaslit folks will buy it hook line and sinker but anyone else should know its a load of crap. ... I wonder if you've ever considered where Russia might be thinking of for a potential Poseidon deployment? ... not any land-locked countries, most likely an Island nation? or continental coastline? with a major CBD center, and on an estuary ... like London? or Amsterdam? or New York? or the Potomac? ... not that I would want any of that to happen but you've got to think practically about these things if you go to war, "cross red lines", steal people's money, blockade their trade, etc, etc ... what are your opponents capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, etc? ... not fearmongering but screaming "lies, lies, lies" in panicked denial is a sure recipe to get blind-sided by a superior military power ... why do you think NATO(USA) has been pushing so hard to get it's missiles so close to Russia, like in Ukraine literally on Russia's border? ... maybe because Russia has developed capability to bring down any missiles launched from further out, rendering most of ICBM fleet useless? I've tried to inform friends and family like this as well (so understand the frustration), the younger generations simply don't understand the destructive capabilities of these types of weapons, or when they do start to understand their confidence snaps and they lash out by dismissing it completely because it makes no sense. Anyone who has done ABC (Atomic Biological Chemical) warfare training in military, or grew up during the cold war will at least be partially aware of this. Some common examples of ignorance and general info... People look at the impact radius and think of a nuclear weapon as a huge conventional bomb totally ignoring the long term radiation part. For example, you can knock out a city like New York with 50-100 megaton yield, but depending on height of the detonation and elements used in the core you can make that area uninhabitable for thousands of years (radioactive half-life of the elements), meaning any survivors trying to move into this area will get cancer from the radiation and die within weeks, complete DNA breakdown in effect preventing generation of new healthy cells in the body. You have the neutron bomb which was specifically designed to be detonated at high(er) altitude to create an EMP blast which knocks out all electronics for hours, kills people through heat and radiation waves, but leaves buildings relatively intact and free from radiation. Biological weapons are risky to use for the military because it can move with weather/wind and hit own troops, but perhaps not when used on a whole continent with enemies. Thinking of the current covid pandemic with like ~1% death rate among the elderly, instead imagine something like Ebola weaponized which has 90% death rate. Anyone who has done VX (and similar) nerve gas training (chemical weapons) can tell you only one tiny drop of the stuff anywhere on your skin is enough to lock the body in complete spasms within seconds causing lungs and heart muscles to cramp up leading to death. The only way out of the cramp is to quickly use atropin which might end the cramp spasm (it's not 100% effective), the auto injector used for atropin can penetrate thick army clothes and even items in your pockets, it's designed this way because you only have seconds to administer before it's too late. Perhaps you remember the famous false flag operation in Syria about chemical weapons being used in Duma, where the CNN reporter picks up a piece of cloth from the ground and starts sniffing it and proclaims it smells weird so must be chemical weapons, it's comically bad (staged) for the reasons mentioned previously. This info is dated, surely there are worse things out there now. There seems to be no lack of innovation when it comes to killing people and deliberately destroying the earth. It's like 25 years since it was called ABC, it's CBRN now, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear. Same thing, new name.

Thanks I think one of the big problems I see with many of the UK reviews on YouTube on the Model 3 or recently released (in UK) Model Y, is that people are so overwhelmed with the acceleration that they disregard everything else or even think about long term ownership. Halfords employee told me they won't even replace a 12V battery in a Tesla let alone put the car on a lift, so it really limits your options when things do go wrong / need to be replaced eventually. A rental for a few days / week during a holiday say probably beats a 30 minute test drive massively so you can really see what it's like to live with.

3 possible outcomes I reckon: [...] I have already spoken about this in another thread, but I will repeat it because it is important ... In the next day, Putin has only two goals, one of which is the encirclement of Kyiv and Mariupol, the second goal is the capture of the South-Ukrainian and Zaporozhye nuclear power plants. A day later, the second round of negotiations begins and Putin will make every effort to have an ace in the hand. Just take a look at these footage...

Speaking of which: Somac, I owe you fifty bucks. Reason: Last week when word came out that some dumbass Chechen "General" was going around offering $1000 bounties on Ukrainians killed to his men. I thought that was interesting and offered a $50 bounty for his ass, since that's all he was worth. Apparently someone took him out. So I'm on the hook for somebody in the Ukraine to get $50. So... Dinner when this is all over? Or what's your bitcoin address? C
