@MrNata - Some of these brainless OGs don't like people that buy spot Bitcoin ETFs. They don't seem to understand or appreciate that investors buying and hodling spot Bitcoin ETFs help reduce the supply and increase the price of BTC.

That's because your little noob brain is unable to (or paid not to?) differentiate between short term goals of "price go up" vs long term attack vectors. If you educate yourself on downsides of high concentration of BTC between few parties (and paper gold/btc), then maybe you'll be able to see few steps ahead instead of what's just in front of your nose!

But WoS just works.   Fast, easily and the sats are in my custody.  And I fund it in ways that will be basically impossible to trace.  so I am OK with 100k-200k sats in this context.

.
The person who looked horrified at my setup is probably still there, trying to figure out why he wasn't able to connect via a Tor connection with Zeus to his LND instance on his node at home.

Lol! Truth.

Human beings tend to be black and white in general, bitcoiners especially so.  But it's trade-offs all the way down.

It's OT but I thought to come share this useful service...

Disposable emails.  Simple, web based can receive AND send.  Sending costs 100 sats, but receiving is free and unlimited.  The perfect thing for validation emails etc.  Having to pay a dime to send is a good thing too... cannot be used for spam, but you CAN send something if you absolutely need to.

The Price? 1k sats.  So a whole $1.25 a year.  You pay with LIGHTNING.

A PERFECT address  to use with a service like:  https://app.nokyc.cards  (also a fun/interesting/useful idea. Wink )

https://lnemail.net

I have four of them now just because I liked the various random names i got. Wink  This one was irresistible: onyxlynx627@lnemail.net feel free to email me lol.

Such a cool use for lightning.  Thanks for sharing.

Funny to see the cost to send an email is ~CA17¢ which was the actual cost to send domestic snail mail in Canada (up to 30g... it used to be up to 1oz but we went metric so they rounded) in the late 70's.  One of my jobs was working at a convenience store where we also sold stamps (hence the "convenience" term) and I clearly remember when they jacked the price from 17¢ to 30¢ in the early 80's (Jan 1st, 1982) - so many otherwise pleasant individuals suddenly became angry while buying their stamps.  Two phrases are forever etched in my memory, "At least they waited until after Christmas!" and "Well, I guess I won't be sending any Christmas cards this year!" ...but I digress; the reason I tell this story is to segue into hoping that the cost of sending an email via LIGHTNING goes to ~CA30¢ by Jan 1st, 2026.  In case you don't want to do the math, that means bitcoin would be going for ~US$232k.

Yes, I would also like to see the postage go up in that sort of way. I mean, hell, I'd be willing to pay 50 cents Canadian to send an email. 😁

I'm glad you liked the idea of the service. It really is pretty cool. The guy that made it announced on Nostr.

They 100% will and it will cause the boom bust cycle to be just as pronounced as always. It won’t be Blackrock though, it will be their ETF holders and traders trying to short the top of the market. Everyone thinks we’re going to a million and the four year cycle is over. That is reason enough to be bearish.

Don't buy this bullshit of having USD conversion rate value of BTC as its value indicator. Satoshi had a different motive that many do not know. To avoid the malicious intents of some bankers and financial institutions and corporations. Now the same men who were burning with greed are playing the good guys because all this shift makes them afraid (which is good). Elon is no visionary, he played a dangerous game of making BTC look like a dank meme, obviously to fund his business, he pumped DOGE, which and note my words, is not possible with BTC. Why don't tesla support bitcoin as virtual currency?

This whole plot to turn humans into machines so that they can play kings and queens. The whole video game streaming industry's attempt to make celebs who can sit on a chair, talk loud obnoxious bullshit while having aimbots.

Think for yourself. Nobody will help anybody unless they have a motive. Unselfish sympathy is a rarity in this world.

Will always save some whole coins to pass on, actually it is a liability to stay in the game otherwise it will be a massive waste and to witness how Bitcoin unfolds, that also means i will remain an active WO member for a long time to come.

One of my biggest fear is to lose my seeds forcing me getting back to work having a undesirable hardcore ramen life-style for 10 years just to get BTC0.50.

When hodling as long as us or other OG's ... this road should be cleared for sure... Some multiple differents seeds and some cash should take that out of the question.
losing all seeds would massively suck obviously. But we should be protected on all fronts by now imho.
El duderino_ Sir, how did you get started?

Even though the price of Bitcoin was low at that time, it was very difficult to believe in Bitcoin. How did you understand that Bitcoin could come this far in the future?

I am a new investor. Please tell me about your mistakes and successes at that time. Your success encourages me a lot. If I had started investing from your beginning, I might have been in a position today. But now I am continuing.

Hunt brothers' fund controlled about 1/3 of private silver supply when they were cornering the silver market. Luckily BTC is much easier to take delivery of and self custody. Nevertheless still not good exposure and will only grow as they have unlimited dollars to throw at BTC.
