I am really surprised too. I thought for sure that prices were gonna sag a little today. Let's see how we hold up over the rest of the weekend.

Tried to tell you. Over and over.

Its going up from here. It will consolidate this weekend between 590-600. It will see 650 within 10 days.

EDIT: Although Houbi REALLY looks like it wants to break out now.

It only touched $600 for a few minutes on BitStamp, though, and then went back down.

The bid wall there to get past 600 is a big one. I'd like to see it broken, no doubt.

point is that sideways motion is the least likely outcome from this.

this is the time to place your bets.

I should have made a bet to fade mat just out of principle, or is it superstition?

anyways, here is my first foray into leveraged betting. *following mat's lead*

good luck and never fool yourself, it's all just bets.

Speaking of bets, stuff like the following are using today's high price in the decision logic. It'd be crazy if someone needed to keep the price from going no higher than 600 on BitStamp until, say, midnight EDT. It'd require really deep pockets, so I'd say it's pretty unlikely, but fun to think about.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

bid"S"..... there are 10 lots and accordingly 10 winning bidS

EDIT:  Additionally, the more bids that you know about the more information that you are going to have to infer the winning bid(s).. For example, if you made 10 bids, you are going to know quite a bit more than if you only know about one bid.

Timeline:

1) Large Buyers are slowly accumulating Bitcoin as exchange depth allows, trying not to run the price up on themselves while they try to fill their accounts to their planned levels of exposure.
2) They find out about the SR Seized Coin auction.  Some may have found out before the public announcement.
3) They stop buying on exchanges and save their funds for later bids at the auction.  This would correspond to a lack of buying, as some here have seen in their analysis for the past few weeks.
4) Someone wins the auction, but most bidders do not get all of their bids filled.  The losers find out some time between end of auction 6/27 6PM EST and 6/30 5PM EST.
5) Losers begin slowly accumulating Bitcoin on exchanges again until reaching their planned level of exposure.

We are between #3 and #4.  The next step will be bullish.

Yep, bullish.

You had a chance for cheap, right before the auction ended, you had an opportunity for $575-ish, and that's pretty cheap.
