hot off the price heres a list of the prices for each block so far.

1 - Pantera - $900
2 - SecondMarket - $750
3 - SecondMarket - $700
4 - DRW Trading Group - $700
5 - Coinbase - $685
6 - Rangeley Capital - $660
7 - SecondMarket - $651
8 - Coinbase - $640
9 - Matrix Capital Management - $601
Block 10 - Yelp - $626
Is this list real?

Seems very unlikely that SecondMarket would enter a bid itself.  Can people see why that would be a big ethical problem?

no not real

No one will bid at $900. That's nonsense

Agree why anyone want to bid @900, if they want they will easily buy 3k coins far below of 900$.

These coins may carry some historical premium but definitely not 50%

Silk Road Coins are collectible though, said to come with seal by the U.S. Marshals.

Imagine finding a briefcase of Al Capone's hundred dollar bills.  Those would also carry a premium on the open market.

How? I don't see anything odd. Just a few people taking profit.
They are happy now because they made 200 bucks and will buy in again with a loss when the train moves on.

This is the point where the train slows down and now everyone is afraid of a crash. So obviously they start selling and create a crash.

watch 630. They keep showing up at 630 when people continue to pay higher. Price goes up..drops, 630 again.

They're probably trying to buy below that but appear to be losing coins

Ahh, Professor Bitcoin Smiley Last day for his $10 coin prophecy (and his credibility Wink ).

Something to bare in mind, I'm as happy as anyone to see it going up BUT... we have bank runs in Bulgaria, the Spanish government dipping their hand into peoples savings, the UK government bypassing the need for court orders to do the same... All this will almost certainly be good for bitcoin but when economies fail people suffer. I'm reading through the history of economics during the Weimar Republic at the mo and its scarily similar to our current situation, millions suffered and much of the middle class became paupers in the space of weeks. There where also many that made huge profits from the situation... and there where lynchings. The banks greed is going to be their downfall and its going to cause a lot of misery.
One more reason to be (pseudo/ano)nimous. To protect yourself from an angry mob. Undecided

Why? We all know second market wants/need tons of bitcoin and are in for the long run. We also know they are pretty smart investors and they know that buying 30000 bitcoins on an exchange would be problematic. For more than one reason.

1) their funds could be stolen (get goxxed)
2) their funds could be trapped at the exchange for months (withdrawal limit)
3) their bid would increase the price and start a rally (which means they'll have to pay much more)

It's not unethical, it's smart
