Does anyone know why changing Avatars is disabled and when it will be enabled again?
It was disabled due to a bug/exploit and it's not looking like they'll return until the new forum. When is the new forum coming on? I have been hearing about a new forum for quite some time. Getting very close to Hero status As hilariousandco mentioned, it is expected to be ready around next Feb. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=455867.msg5069851#msg5069851I've decided not to create an official announcement thread today. But I will answer some questions. ... When will the software be finished? About one year from now.

Getting very close to Hero status Crossed 400 in activity and still no hero status? There's no official date but they said it'd be around a year in February I believe, so early next year probably.
Cheers.

I seriously doubt anyone here could muster up $25k to donate :p Could someone enlighten me on the time limit? Is it going to shrink as I post more, or do I have to wait 6 minutes between each post for the rest of my time here? Because that's annoying

It goes down drastically the more activity you get. It quickly shrinks down to where it's very rarely noticeable. I think mine is only a few seconds now.

Why don't you just ban the scammer instead of giving them red marks?

It's too much hassle to investigate and verify scams so there are systems put in place so the community can essentially police itself. Banning users doesn't really do any good as they can just create a new account and start over.

Yes, but what about fake negative trust? Mods, or admins dont bother to remove them and some people get negative trust for no reason. Its good system but admins and mods still need tovget involved in fixing some things.

Negative trust that is without a source and from people not on the trusted list is essentially worthless anyway.

Its funny when people actually think their feedback marks users as scammers . I only ever had one from Ritz but he removed it after a while. Funny thing is he left me it after I essentially defended him in one of his threads but he just saw the Primedice sig and accused me of being a PD troll haha.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0The trust system is pretty confusing and I think there's a few factors involved but simply put you have to receive feedbacks from people on the default trust list. Keep doing successful trades and you'll probably get green feedback eventually.

Actually, you can add people in your trust list. So if someone you trust will give you positive feedback, you will see it as green. The same goes if he gives positive feedback to someone else. However, if another person doesn't have him in his trust list, he won't see your green Trust under your avatar. Of course, feedback from people in default trust list appear as red/green for almost everyone(except for those who edited the default list).
