The good news is that the developers are unaffected and working around the clock on the main event, the products themselves, including easy buy/sell contracts, token changers UX, new website with smart contracts productized appropriately and better stats, and the end-user token/community creation app, as well as relevant APIs for partnerships. We understand the no news is bad news sentiment, which is why we're as active as possible here, and doing tons of outreach with reporters, at upcoming events, and in industry channels. In the meantime, it is most helpful to communicate the core message behind the Bancor protocol. With so much misinformation floating around, one might have missed that Bancor deployed on Ethereum, an actual live, innovative smart contract technology, being used everyday to help address an important problem that has profound implications not only for cryptocurrency but all asset exchange, liquidity!
Bancor protocol introduces the concept of smart tokens. These new tokens have special capabilities such as a built-in automated market maker that enables decentralized, onchain transactions without a counterparty. Bancor protocol can also be used to create network tokens, token changers, token baskets and with an accompanying consumer-Internet UX, a long-tail of local currencies.
We will be sharing a lot of material over the coming months to help educate a wider audience on these concepts, as we simultaneously work to release great software that brings more liquidity and freedom.

The problem is not that people are not educated or that they don't understand the concept It's about Bancor integrating their technology and make it easy for anyone to create these mentioned network tokens, token changes etc. People need to use the platform for it to spread and become popular, only the testnet is currently available, which is.. well.. not very useful Bancor has to make the promised features available (the software) before the idea can spread the project has a certain mathematical model, in which there is no understand or do not understand the concept, the contract simply live their lives the robot. If the total tokens of the ether will rise, will rise bankor and the more they buy the higher the price. |

Nice to see some latest news about the Bancor, the market price is so stably and low, I almost forget it. Everyone who is now so impatient to see BNT price rise again has to give time to natural selection to impose its effects. Bancor is not just "a new coin" or "just another token", it is a protocol which opens the way to a completely new mechanics of money, and its logical evoution is to be adopted in time by the majority of the existing and still not existing currencies (the long tail...). Once a critical mass of adopters will have adopted the Bancor protocol, natural selection will eventually push the rest of the financial crypto echosystem to adapt... or to fade away.

OK guys, looks like Bancor need some community support right now. They have launched new bounty program for offline & online ambassadors (aside from translations, which are also live), who will spread the word about all the possibilities of smart tokens. Check the site - https://app.bancor.network/communities/598314b64a93372697b7b88d - and participate if you qualify. I think the most important role will be offline ambassador, who has to organize meetups and find local business to educate and try to connect them with Bancor Network. It may be difficult but also fun! I have never seen such a initiative for community in any of the blockchain projects so far. |

For me, Bancor's ICO was unsuccessfull for investors. They could buy BNT from exchanges - and they can earn more than they take part ICO. ICO with big hard cup - bad ICO.

There are no bonus or presale. Everyone that invest in ico bought at 1eth= 100bnt In fiat at that time is around 3.5$ And yes the current price is below ico price. |

I have seen this time and again whenever somebody buys a large chunk of BNT on Bittrex and pushes the price up within minutes, the automated arbitrage bots bring the price down by arbitraging against the smart contract. I don't see how the price will increase.

So why dont they buy from smart contract in first place? Even if they buy from bittrex and arbitrge do their job buying cheap token in smart contract thus bring the both price to equilibrium there is still increase in price. More token bought, higher the smart token contract price. If you expect the manipulation pump n dump like others coin/token that can be done with merely few hundred btc... that not gonna happen with bancor. Smart token contract cant be manipulate, the price will only increase with increase in token number. |
