I can buy 10 bitburnerXX(20chip) boards.
I have 200 chips. I'm from EU (Poland)
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Anyone else have chips shipped to Burnin 2 weeks ago as part of Zefir's Batch 2 and are waiting on a response from Burnin? The only updates I have seen from him are about how he has been processing refunds and working on Bitfury project. Has anyone heard anything about the Zefir Batch 2 chips that were sent to Burnin?

I've tried contacting via forum, PM, email. nothing..

They are all finished now and i should receive them tomorrow.
To get shorter manufacturing time i need reliable AND exact information when i will receive the chips.
But as german customs were involved this time there was no way to know when i would receive them.
My contractor received the chips on Monday last Week, actual manufacturing began on Thursday that week.

My manufacturing partners offer short reaction times in comparison to the rest of the industry but i can't afford to have the machines rigged up and waiting for the Avalon chips.
The machines have to be rigged up prior to assembly, that takes time and costs money.
Also if i have the machine standing still waiting for a chip delivery that would cost me per hour.

More interesting would be the migration of the Bitburners to the 55nm chips.

@burnin
I know you can't tell us if its possible as long as there are no specs released,
but would you be willing to put in some effort if it would only include to change
the software part to the existing hardware layout?

I poses a preorder of some chips and i intended to hold them, but with this
whole PR stunt of some 400 thousandish chips which we will probably not
even get the slightest glimpse of, plus the announcement of their 55nm
chips, i am seriously considering getting rid of my chips.
Would be a nice bonus if you could recycle the boards to next-gen and
of course my orders with them Grin

Only if the chips are pin and protocol-compatible it would be possible to use the old boards for them.
(Maybe even remove the old chips and replace them for the delivered ones)
But i think those chips will have a different pinouts/interface/package.

Also with the Cointerras on the horizon i also doubt the Avalon 55nm chips will be available fast enough to compete with them.
Additionally we already have 55nm chips available to us NOW, those are the Bitfurys.

My Roadmap:
end of September to November - Bitfury 55nm
from early January 2014  - CoinTerra - 28nm

Regarding the BitBurner XX -> Bitburner Fury process:
CryptX will provide the chips.
Migrated customers will be able to order before the public.
ETA of the boards: early October.

Thanks for the update, glad to see you working on the new chips!

The 2 bitburners I received have been excellent -- hardware (and interface to cgminer) is rock solid which is impressive for a first version product!

Now I just need more to add to the stack!

Hmm, that's almost enough to make me cancel my Bitburner XX order - if you're saying cancelling is the only way to get an early Bitburner Fury :-(

Seems an odd way to reward those of us who decided to hang in there with you rather than bailing on the project

EDIT TO ADD: How about allowing all existing customers early access, whether or not they choose to keep their Bitburner XX orders open?

As far as I understand, ALL migrated customers (those that are actually in burnins database) get the chance to order an early version of BitFurry, so you don't need to cancel your previous order.

I appreciate that, thank you Smiley

When and how can we migrate to Bitburner Fury? I assume this will happen through CryptX' site: http://www.asic-hardware.com/ ?

Ah, that would make sense - I hope that's what it means....  (I took 'migrated customer' to mean customers who had migrated their order from a Bitburner XX to a Bitburner Fury - but I think your interpretation makes more sense.)

And sorry, burnin, for jumping to conclusions here - you're doing a great job, and I'm looking forward to mining with your products.

Hi cryptx,

Could you confirm people who wish to keep their order still get the chance to order bitfury's before the public?

Hi cryptx,

You log in with your current account and choose the option "keep your original order".
When this is done, you just order a Bitburner Fury board.

Bitburner customers who do not take action, will keep their current order.

It would be welcome for our administration if you would log in to asic-hardware.com and confirm your option.

•   50% refund of your entire order

Is this fix? No chance of getting the mentioned 70% later on when doing a refund?
