Why people are still buying BTC?

As I mentioned earlier, those who think that bitcoin is the future is more than those who do not. People are investing because technology is developing on the blockchain day by day.

All of the people who knows about cryptocurrency will not stop buying, especially bitcoin, bitcoin's price is slowly recovering now from a huge dump happened this last few days, so to those who bought bitcoin in a dump price, for sure they are going to make a huge pofit in the next following month as its price is going up. All of us here are buying because for the profits, it is our job to make profits on cryptocurrency, and buy and sell is the only thing to do to achieve the profits that we want.

To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...
I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.


Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.


An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.


Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).


I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

You can't stop them from believing in bitcoin, it is their will and choice to keep investing even on the midst of its crisis. They think that bitcoin will soon rise once again and will help them have a better life again, that may happen or not but as they continue to invest on it, they will be the ones to get advantage if ever bitcoin recovers once again.

People are invested in bitcoin in many ways.
They see good reasons to stick with it and most of them are thinking long term.
Things crash from time to time, it doesnt mean they are dead.
And besides that profit isn't the main focus for most of the old dogs of bitcoin.

People still buying bitcoin to keep it because they see good reasons to stick with it and waiting for long term. And to get higher exchange in the market.

Because, Bitcoin was created in 2009 and it has proved itself, so Bitcoin is not scam project. Another than that, Bitcoin was made much more money who bought it when it created and i think another reason it.

People are investing in bitcoin for different reasons. Some use bitcoin as a means of transferring funds in a safe and convenient way. Safe in a way that their identity is hidden and they can transfer big funds without even delay, unlike when you are transferring funds via bank. In my opinion, people are buying bitcoin even though its price is getting lower now because, they are taking the opportunity to buy more bitcoin in a much lower price

In my opinion, people are still buying bitcoin because they still do believe that bitcoin will give them huge profit, lets get real, we are all after the huge amount of profit that we might get if we will buy or invest in bitcoin. This thinking should be welcomed more than green days. When prices are down and you are allowed and appreciated to earn more bitcoins. Then, such statements should be shouted accompanied with bigger intensions to earn more

People still choose to buy bitcoin despite its volatility, because they know that it has the potential to give huge rate of returns though it has its downturn at times. Bitcoin's price may be low. The smart people are all buying bitcoins. As for the price of bitcoin 20K in January this year, buying bitcoin is very small, and the long-term development of the community will certainly bring a good return on the current investment.

That is great to hear, here in our country we are free to do business with crypto with no hassle to pay tax since  we are not yet obliged in doing so unless our government already imposed regulations on it.

Anyone who buys BTC expect that in the future the price will be high, in the growth phase, the BTC price reached the moon and reached the $ 20000 mark. So now the price is below $ 8000 people buy in and expect that the price of BTC will repeat like last year again. They will become rich, so they will continue to buy and expect the price of BTC will go to the moon in the end of 2018.
