I mostly save up my bitcoin for future fun purpose. I have a day job which pays me well so I don’t need any extra income to sustain my life. I am ok with my salary. But I also save up bitcoin from various sources like signature campaign or trading. It is because I want to make my dream come true.
Since long, I am planning to buy a superbike. I have not yet decided the model, but I need a superbike because I want to go for cross-country touring. My current bike is good for city commuting but not touring. So I want to buy a superbike in future. Definitely it is not a necessity but that’s why I am saving up my bitcoin. Probably 2-3 years down the line, I would be able to make my dream come true.

I save bitcoin for the both of them: Saving for future purposes and saving for fun. I save money so I can enjoy myself later, spoiling myself to things that I dont have right now, like PS4 or XBOX. It may also help me pay my bills in the future so I gotta keep it.
Well, the more bitcoin I save, the merrier because I also want to invest, maybe in some gambling sites or business that may came up, who knows right, there are a lot of possibility that may be done using bitcoin.
I do not gamble, but I spend some of the bitcoins on all sorts of pleasures. The bulk of bitcoins are my long-term investments and I will not spend them for several years I don't really gamble too, I just said that I want to invest on some gambling sites or casinos but I do not really gamble, I just do it for some free time and entertainment. There are a lot of investors that say that they are earning some profits from these gambling sites or casinos. I also want to try investing in these gambling sites or casinos. This is a good idea. Casinos are always relevant. But you need to be not a player in the casino, but the owner. To make good money. I'm still just holding my bitcoins for the future I can relate tho this. I have also stopped playing in casinos since instead of earning I lost all of my winnings and also my capital. Today I am just enjoying my referral commission from gambling but I no longer save my bitcoins but instead convert it to cash so I can provide my family with what they need and of course deposit some of it in the banks. If I have reached enough savings on my bank account then that is the time that I will hold my bitcoins for future use. |

I can relate tho this. I have also stopped playing in casinos since instead of earning I lost all of my winnings and also my capital. Today I am just enjoying my referral commission from gambling but I no longer save my bitcoins but instead convert it to cash so I can provide my family with what they need and of course deposit some of it in the banks. If I have reached enough savings on my bank account then that is the time that I will hold my bitcoins for future use.
I've done this as well. Before I said I'd just hold on to my stash of coins and to anything I might add to it and not cash-out, ever. The recent price drop gave me pause though. What if I really needed the money and it happen to be at an all time low? How would I get my money out then. I converted them to cash, for now (I know, some would disagree with this) but kept them in an exchange. If I'd need them I'd send them back to the bank, if bitcoin price dropped really low, I might use some to buy coins. |

I'm saving bitcoin for my personal needs like if I want to buy something online and if I need some financial assistance, I can get it from withdrawing my saved up bitcoin. Bitcoin can really help me with those purposes so that's why I'm saving it.

Saving for the future is a good idea, but you need to sell them when the price of bitcoin increases. Because nobody doesn't know what will be the price of bitcoin in future, so buy bitcoin when it is low and sell them when it was at a high price.
I think for the best way, we can buy now at the cheapest price then we hold it for future. Or if we are know and master in trading we can trying to trade some altcoins which profitable coins. Certainly, saving Bitcoin for future is good way to grow our money. This is actually what I'm doing now, buying them at its lowest price hold it for a bit. I have just tried trading so I'm not really a master on that part but I placed some of my Bitcoins through a trading site and same as what you did trade it for a couple of altcoins. And the rest I'm saving them for future purposes like in case I needed money, I can just withdraw them and use them if needed. It is indeed a great way to progress our earnings and maybe save some profits and put in the bank just in case. |

It will not solved your goal and transferring to other alts not even an answer if fork issues will happened at it's final phase. Believe me, the original bitcoin will win the race. Eye for long term and not on the FUD issues. This is my suggestion based on my own perspective. Up to you if you will follow or consider. |

I save my bitcoin for my future purpose,better if we have savings because when the time come that we have an emergency,we have resources. If i spend my compiled bitcoin, i'll make sure that i will spend in the right way. So now, even the value of bitcoin is higher or lower I can not exchange it into fiat because this is my future savings. |

It means that you have other means of having money and not just rely on bitcoin. While others here used their bitcoin they earn like in a signature campaign for other purposes like paying bills and other stuff. If you can saved bitcoin to fulfill your dreams then I salute you mate because most of us here just used their bitcoins for gambling purposes. Well, different folks different strokes. |

I have it saved for retirement or whatever comes in life like a house, debt, w.e. I really dont know at what point I would sell everything so I cant say what I would use it for.

I think it would be better for you to work and generate bitcoin use a few percent of the earnings to you keep in a safe deposit box as storage when you retire. I'm sure it will make you live comfortably in the future |
