OK I restarted my bitcoin-qt and suddenly a mined transfer showed up. So maybe it's OK. My address is not showing up on http://p2poolparty.org/stats.html as yet tho. Is this list dependable?

BTW how do you know when p2pool finds a block (besides that you receive a payment)? Does it show up in the logs or on some website?

litecoin problem:

After awhile the error stopped and information continued as normal, I tried to mine, but I got this:

What exactly am I doing wrong? I installed MinGW with the installer on the site, ...or do I have to build it with python?

I think you should be using port 9327 instead of 9338. There was a bug that caused the ZeroDivisionError, which I believe I fixed.. I'll make a new windows build soon.

Alright got it working, only problem is that it only gives an output of hashrate change when my shares changes.

Also, for some strange reason my bitcoin instance is reporting very off numbers too, and instead of MHash, its reporting KHash (what).

I have a 6850 that generates 260MHash/s, and the bitcoin instance is reporting--, nope it just changed from 700000kh/s to exactly 100MHash/s and its sticking there.

Is it because I am running both the bitcoin instance and the litecoin instance, with a few port changes because they overlap in places? Are we ever going to see the possibility of the two instances being merged somehow?

Edit:

Now its sticking at EXACTLY 150MHash/s  Tongue

wut

I need to go to bed...

many financial firms handling forex and algo trading already buy locations as close as possible to major trunks just to gain a few ms in response time.
One Wilshire ftw.
I think, well, if someone makes a simple guide for beginners ..with pictures.. . like this. I did it in Russian. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=62698.0

Lol! imageban.ru is blocked in US government for "pornography"  Grin

Um, not it's not.

It is in MD Tongue
Likely still not.  States don't block webpages (yet and hopefully ever). Are you sure its not your office or DNS or ISP?

Sorry, I said government, as in specifically within the government, as in "in the government offices and buildings." Not that it is blocked by the government for everyone living here. I can see how it's confusing Cheesy

Hmm - I'm not sure if I'm just misreading that or is he getting about 1/4 (or less) of expected since the 4th
1200Mh/s is (current difficulty) ~0.8 BTC a day.
Was over on the 1st and 2nd by a bit (but zero on the 3rd fixed that Tongue)
So overall been quite under expectation.
I guess that's just luck?
You'd need some overall share difficulty and share count to determine what's going on.

Though I made a mistake Smiley
He should be getting ~0.87 a day (not ~0.8 )
I typed 1.1GH/s accidentally into my calculator.

ziomik: What is your displayed "Efficiency"? Is it near 100%?

The reason for the rare payouts has been that the pool has been pretty unlucky in the past few days. See: http://u.forre.st/p2pool/luck.png We found two blocks in the morning, though.. hopefully on the way back.

Spiccioli, some blocks don't appear in logs because they were stale as P2Pool shares when they were found, and so weren't broadcast.

Hi, my efficiency is around 100%. Now I'm not at your computer but remember that is very close (from 95% to 98%)

Thanks forrestv,

It seems we just found a third block, 16:40 GMT+1, but this one has not reached my wallet (yet)?!?

Code:
2012-02-08 14:59:09.241492 GOT BLOCK FROM PEER! Passing to bitcoind! c588846d bitcoin: 8acd68a3104ef43befea3fa896c91c15718b428faacb63775ca

Is this because bitcoin network rejected it?

Just give it some more time to show up in your wallet.

If it shows up in here https://blockexplorer.com/address/1Kz5QaUPDtKrj5SqW5tFkn7WZh8LmQaQi4 it will show up in your wallet too.

Frizz23,

I thought that it would require a few milliseconds for a block to propagate through the network.
