There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

A friendly heads up that it has been decided to delay this weeks newsletter (for positive reasons).

I don't know what you mean but if you mean how many team members then there are about 25 developers, this includes many things like Social media, Website design, wallets etc. Core developers are around 5 I have heard. Pretty good for no ICO pure community project.

Hi,

I created an thread about the best scalable coin:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1965832.0

While I like XtraBytes for its uniqueness I was not aware that it could be a scalability solution, as well. But one answer in the other thread stated it is very scalable.
So can XtraBytes really handle much more transactions in a second than PoW or PoS coins?

If yes this coin would not be only a lot but extremely undervalued right now.

Yeah we know.  Grin

Would be nice to have a confirmation for that (Fatoshi already claimed it in the other thread). Why exactly is XtraBYtes super scalable?

Not that Xtrabytes would be a bad coin if its not super scalable. Even then it would deserve a place in the top 20 if not top 10 coins, because of its unique solution which seems to be superior to PoW and PoS coins. Below a market cap of 20 billion scalability seems not to be a big issue, anyway.

But with scalability much more is possible. I think scalable coins will dominate crytoworld when crypto market cap gets into the trillions.

I agree that XBY is a good coin and that's why I am invested in it. But it's not a totally unique coin. It is based on the IOTA Tangle concept. PoSign being the replacement term for Tangles. That concept was talked about in 2015. If anyone can show me XBY is unique to IOTA I would be interested.

Martin ive seen your name on the slack and in the trollbox jumping between fuding and hyping to suit your trading im sure.

You are a clueless.fuckwit and an.emeny of this project with your lowlife two bit trading and your stupid bullshit saying XBY and entirely different technology.are similar.

Fuck off.

Fatoshi, I am asking intelligent questions not fudding. I also stated I am invested in XBY and will be for a long time.

You make the most ignorant assumptions like any child would make about jumping around chatboxes etc., but I have never downed XBY once. Quote me where I am supposed to have done that?

You on the other hand are a total idiot with no idea how to respond to questions or sincere doubts.

Why don't you take your own advice and piss off to the nearest playground.

He deserves this answer, doesn't know how the nodes find the blocks and compares a coin with another coin.

Xenon01, people like you drag things down. Its true I don't know how the nodes find blocks, so I ask questions about it. No-one bothers answering me so I develop sincere doubts which I post here asking for help.

And what do people like you and the moron Fatoshi do?

Instead of taking it as a chance to educate help and bring things forward, you just insult and make crap comments.

Like I said many times before, XBY is a good project and I am still invested in it. And no I don't fud in the Yobit trollbox, I only ever advise people its a good buy. And to think it would help my trading strategy which is 90% hold by having doubts posted here is ignorant beyond belief.

But you should take your toys somewhere else if you are not intelligent enough to answer basic questions - Total idiot!

Actually IOTA is based on DAG which isnt a unique concept to IOTA in fact Byteball has used the concept already before IOTA. XBY uses a very different approach using Chords P2P concept..static signed nodes, and a virtual layer that makes blocks. There is nothing like it. Whatever the criticism you want to give XBY it cant be its not unique.

Now this WAS a good answer! Thank you realistic1 for showing the silly kids how to reply.

This is the one on the first page (OP): https://github.com/borzalom/XtraBYtes/releases/download/pre-v1.1.0.6-win/xtrabytes-qt-linux-v1106 Isn't this the one you were asking for? I have no expertise on this matter so I don't know if it's specifically for Linux Mint but this is the Linux wallet of XBY.

What would it take for this to be a billion-dollar coin? Feels to me like that's very possible given the tech and very active development community. If only liquidity were better so I could buy some more...

Speaking of which, if anyone wants to take-profit on a large amount, I'm looking to buy 500k or so. PM me if interested.
