Manchester United is gradually turning into a club into which players leaves who are not really needed in Real Madrid (although this does not apply to Casemiro and probably Varane). I don't know how much this transfer will strengthen Manchester United, but for Real Madrid it will be another good sale, as despite the large acquisitions (which are very rare), Real Madrid maintains an excellent balance between spending on players and the money received from their sale.
