It is 100% just a situation where Chelsea overpays for one player, then the other player is asked the same, if you pay someone who is worth 20 million and you pay 50 million for him, then when a player worth 50 million is suddenly asked for 100 million is not a surprised.

Every team expects Chelsea to overpay right now to recover the terrible season they are going through.
