i don't think so. Experienced player has still needed by newacstle. Those players may be really helpful for the team. it's not about how popular or unpopular the player is but it's about how important those players for the club. You are right. Why Barcelona doesn't try to forget him? There is no worth signing Messi again, he has a huge salary and already 35 years old. Barcelona has no capability to pay his salary and Barcelona already has many players with big salaries. If Barcelona signs Messi, they surely will have difficulty to deal with Messi's salary. I personally don’t see Messi returning anytime soon back to his former club, Barcelona.
He has played his time over there and now looking ahead to better and a more competitive football. PSG, would not agree to see Messi go back to Barcelona after paying so much for him in the first place. I’m pretty sure they’ve got plans for his stay in the club and are probably looking to extend his contract at the club.
