I think precisely with Jorginho's presence at the moment it is to serve as a cover for Partey especially with the current conditions it seems that this season Partey has not gone too smoothly in his career considering he is very prone to injury.

This is one of the best signings so far in this window. He is still young, has a wealth of experience in the League, European, and Continental Cups, and is extremely excellent with the ball and has a tremendous passing range. While every player has a weakness, Mikel will undoubtedly work on this one. I give it a 6 out of 10, not the greatest Arsenal could have done but still a respectable player. Did you say Jorginho is still young? Any footballer who is above 30yrs shouldn't be called young anymore. I used to respect Jorginho as one of the world class midfielders but with the collapse of Chelsea midfield when Jorginho and Covasic were there made me begin to think twice.

The difference maybe in this case in terms of speed because Jorginho is not a runner type but often provides good passes for the attack line as a supplier in contrast to Partey who does rely more on speed but on the other hand this is a good option when they are actually fit because this can be played when strategy them so their tempo doesn't get too far later when Jorginho or Partey is on the pitch.
