They can obviously increase the contract. Of course, they can give him one more year of the contract. I think at this point we all know that it is kind of a bad decision to keep a player who is more than 38 and there is obviously some player who is going to take his place very soon.
But until that happens I think he can stay. A contract of one more year is not going to hurt too much for Chelsea. Especially since they are spending so much money and still not getting any results.

Just as I predicted, he's already signed the contract extension for a year already. That was done yesterday, I was happy for the contract and props to him on that. He's a defender I take my time watching and analysing. He does neat defending for Chelsea, brave and we'll composed no matter the pressure. He does play in the center-back position. So generally he does not have to do a lot of running. So generally he can stay back and help in the defense. That is a big reason why his age is still not affecting him so much. And he is someone who understands that he is not as agile as he was before. So he has to stay back for bringing the best outcome to his team.

I appreciate that his contract was extended. And it is very good to see that his contract was extended for 1 year. Now he can move anywhere else if he does want in the future. But I have to say I don't think his contract is going to be extended again.

Well even though Modric may be still be the better overall midfielder at the moment in comparison to Bellingham it would still make sense for Real Madrid to try to get Jude Bellingham now because obviously Modric will only play one more year maybe or he will retire after this season because he already is 37 years old. As you already said though, Real Madrid already has signed a few younger players, that can replace Modric once he is retiring, so i really don't think that it would make any sense for Real Madrid to try to sign Bellingham now too.
Real Madrid already had a huge amount of debts and Bellingham will probably cost 100 M€ or even more.

Ac milan wanna take advantage from his injury to be a reason to buy him from liverpool with cheap price. Yes, because he is a defender or quite a good player and is relied on by Chelsea, even in every match he always shows a defensive game that cannot be underestimated even though he is quite old.
However, because of the good game he has shown, Chelsea can trust and be sure to still use him and extend the contract for one year.

If Graham Potter really wants to build Chelsea from the ground up then he should have made good progress because I think that was enough time for him when he first stepped foot at Chelsea. If not doing this season, at least they have a clear and structured process of what he's going to do next season.

I think slowly they will get back on track in a month.

Indeed, Modric is one of Madrid's finest midfielders ever, I have to agree with you. He is a legend of the club, having excelled at an extremely high level throughout his career. Bellingham, on the other hand, is still a young player with plenty of space for development. He has already demonstrated his immense potential, and it would not surprise me if he went on to become a world-class midfielder.

I think it would be fantastic if Madrid signed either Haaland or Mbappe. They are both gifted players who have been dominating their respective leagues. Incorporating them into Madrid's offense alongside Vinicius Jr. is an exciting potential.

I don't think we can rush to conclusions that it will be a good move, because we also have to see how far Osimhen can adapt to the game from Manchester United if he really does join. If I was amongst Chelsea head's, I'd be the one to Champion the extension of Thiago Silva's contract for a year ahead and not six months. He literally does most of the best ball stealing from attackers, he's brave, composed and he's been such a good passer of the ball who barely cook up errors.

He's so much experienced at defending, he literally saw that during the FIFA World Cup. He's also formed a good bond with Badiashile who was recently added to Chelsea squad. I'm sure he'll pass so much knowledge into the defender to help coordinate the defense when he's absent.
Koullibaly doesn't calculate, he thinks it's all about physically minded, and he overlaps a lot. I don't see him finding his way back Into the first team. Good deal by the way, Thiago Silva should be given an extension.

I see that Thiago Silva has already extended his contract by one year and it is really good to witness. His contract now lasts until June 30, 2024.


Now I'm hearing about Aubameyang like he is thinking of rejecting Los Angeles FC's offer to fight for his place at Chelsea. However I don't know if he can win this fight for real. Because we need to be realistic about this. It is clear that Potter doesn't want to see him in his team now. He doesn't have any confidence about him to show a good performance. Maybe he didn't start very well but he wasn't even given proper chances to show himself. In this case there is nothing Aubameyang can do as long as Potter remains here.

This was right and he stayed. I agree with this point. But I gotta say something. The amounts teams paying for transfer fees are getting ridiculous. In a world where Cucurela is 65m, any decent player worths some other ridiculous amount and even I, a normal non-athlete human being, am worth couple of hundred thousand euros myself. This situation has come to this nonsense. I actually like Cucurela, he was great in Getafe. But 65m is just utterly too much. Brighton did an excellent job for themselves. City wanted him but refused the 60m required fee, then Chelsea did a bad transfer, IMO.
