I am convinced that Messi didn't want to lose out too much on his new contract compared to what he could have earned in the Saudi Professional League. I would also like to understand the specific details about the involvement of Adidas and Apple here, but I am sure there will be more details coming to light with more time passing by. He owns a huge luxury apartment in Miami and if someone has the choice between Saudi Arabia and Miami, it is probably not too hard to guess what the decision might be.
