I think Messi decided to rejoin Barcelona to play for few more seasons and leave the club amicably with a proper send forth unlike his last unceremoniously exist to PSG which caused some rift between the club and him, of course his entire playing career was spent in Barcelona thus should be rewarded with a club legend status when he finally quit accepting a paycut to rejoin a club that made him a star isn't a bad idea of course other players could be tempted with mouth watering contract offered by the Saudi Arabian clubs, personally I think Messi return to Barcelona wouldn't bear any consequence rather both parties will benefit.

This is an opportunity for Messi to become the highest-paid sportsman in the world. I am not sure this opportunity will be as lucrative as it is now next year. He needs to move now that he is highly needed. Messi is already a legend in Barcelona and he has won everything. His return might be even disastrous because he might not have all the attention he use to have. After all, Robert  Lewandowski is now the key player. Maybe he can return to Barca after two years in the SPL league and take up a managerial job.

I understand those who want to see something emotional, that's the feeling we all have. I agree that if he went to Barcelona and played like 1-2 more seasons there and retire there it would be something to see, hell I didn't want him to leave in the first place so it would be normal for people to see him there.

However, I agree that we are talking too emotionally, and this is just way too much money we are talking about that can't be rejected. If he is actually offered 1 billion a year, which I still decline to believe, I think it must be a lot less than that, I mean the money he receives must be a lot smaller than that, but if it's anything even remotely true, like even if he gets 500 million a year, it would be very very stupid to reject that, it's insane amount of money.

I believe Messi made a very wise decision his future and career and inuding that of his family. No player has an everlasting affirmity with any club and it was just a contract between Messi and Barcelona.
There's no doubt that Barcelona has done alot for Messi and his family and I'm return Messi has done alot for Barcelona in terms of commitment and hard work. These two parties may never meet again in the football world. I am happy for Messi that he didn't make same mistake that Ronaldo made with Manchester United.

He decided like a good father and husband. Though the financial part of this proposed contract has not been revealed but I doubt if it will be bigger than the offer in Saudi Arabia. The decision he took might be after he has considered the social implication of his decision. The US is a freer society which means his wife, children, and family members will be able to adapt to the demands of society.

The US Major League might also offer more endorsement opportunities because the country has the biggest economy in the world. If I were Messi I would never return to Barcelona because I cannot guarantee that my performance can match my records. He might return and start having issues with the club and players due to poor performance or other issues which could taint his hard-earned reputation. It is better to remain a legend than to gamble with Barcelona.

No one will suspect this transfer because previously it was reported that the GOAT would return "home" or even go to receive an offer from the Saudi league. Messi departure to Inter Miami, in my opinion, did not necessarily make him comfortable, imagine if we look at Inter Miami standings, it means that it is quite a tough task to restore performance while demanding that he make a bigger contribution than he should like what Messi gave to PSG. Don't think Inter Miami is a runaway just because he wasn't championed by Barcelona and didn't go to the Saudi Arab Club. Or should we simplify, at least Messi arrival to MLS should be able to keep the club safe from the relegation zone. After all, Messi has the influence, reputation, and titles he carried when he came there.

Lol.  Ronaldo was a bit more of a nuisance during his return to United because the manager had to adjust the squad's formation and strategy around him.  And no matter how hard Solksjaer and Rangnick tried, it was just not working week in, week out.  Something had to go so the managers eventually stopped placing him in the first 11.

I can imagine that Lionel Messi couldn't care less if he joined a top club from the MLS or a club that is usually at the bottom of the table, because everyone knows that the only reason why he is going to the US now is that he can earn an ridiculous high amount of money now even in comparison to his salary so far. I am pretty sure that Messi does not care if Inter Miami can fight for the title or not because for him that MLS title means nothing anyway because he has won all the really important trophies in the world of football already like the Champions League and also the world cup. I was thinking that Messi is heading back to rejoin Barcelona to play for Xavi thereafter when he finally retires will get a befitting send forth, I was surprised to hear and read a news that he is heading to Intermiami in MLS after also turning a deal worth 400million dollars from a Saudi Arabian club, personally I think MLS is not very competitive like Saudi Arabian league with the presence of notable and quality aging players presently in their league or probably he is trying to avoid age long rivalry between him and Ronaldo who now plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, well it's his choice afterall he had won many trophies in his bloodo and successful career I wish him all the best in his new club.

But coming to think of it , I think he choose a league that he could settle in without much of the media & the paparazzi on his back as he prepares for retirement, and with Messi leaving Europe this is the end of the CR7-Messi era and time for players like Mbappe,Rashford, Neymar, Halaad etc to step up their game and cement their names to football's record books.

Actually for MLS I don't know how football works there because really looking at the standings there it is divided into 2 conferences namely east and west so I also don't know about the relegation system there because as far as I know there is no relegation in MLS.

Messi chose to join Inter Miami instead of Al-Hilal because he followed the wishes of his family, especially his wife, I think his wife is not very comfortable living in the Middle East, therefore he could not refuse his wife's request. I think Messi will still get a big salary, although not as big as what Al-Hilal is offering, but the amount is definitely very much from Inter Miami.

I had just read that the ticket price for the game before messi arrived at inter miami was still around $29 and now that messi has joined inter miami the price is $467 per ticket, isn't that amazing for the influence of one of the GOATs? and for the inter miami match in the near future currently the tickets are sold out.
