How do you know he is going to leave? Is there any new rumour or is it just Daily Mail leaking another dressing room message? They like to milk United regardless of who the manager is. Such a harsh word for a player, had Madrid not seeing at least a quality about him they wouldn’t have signed him in the first place. Madrid were definitely sure of what they were getting into before they signed Joselu on loan, they just wanted a back up striker and not someone that could be a first team player and Joselu was definitely perfect for it. So saying he wouldn’t cope in some European clubs is way harsh too me, he can go to Barcelona today and be a better back up to Lewandowski too.

But I have to agree with you that he isn’t the player that Manchester United need at the moment. Manchester United need a player that is currently on his prime and not past it to combine with a potential like Rasmus Hojlund to boost their attack. The budget player that comes to my mind is Isak of Newcastle. He is one of the best in the league currently and can easily play as a double striker to Hojlund in a diamond formation

This swap is unlikely to happen for sure. Even though it indicates that how tuchel has sent some signals if he is keen to coach the premier league team again but many possibilities can happen here, like he goes to the newcastle or other epl team. Joselu was borrowed not as a weapon but as an option and I think he's good enough as an old player in Madrid especially with 9 goals in La Liga this season and 5 goals in the Champions League (including today's match) I think he's a good replacement option with what he's showing at the moment.

He's also aware that with his age and the competition at Madrid he won't be able to compete for the starting line up but to say he's bad with a good score as a "substitute" in my opinion is inappropriate.
