I completely agree with @Dump3er. I don’t understand under which criteria do they sign and sell their players? After their new owner took over, everything has been wrong. They are selling Connor Gallagher one of the best performers of the last season. He was one of the best performers last season with Cole Palmer. What’s more, is that they give them ridiculous contracts. Many of them have 7-8 year long contracts.

And many of the players that they have signed have failed miserably. Lukaku, Mudryk, Caicedo, and even Enzo Fernandez none of them have performed like people had hoped. Almost all the new signings have flopped. And now they are selling one of their best performers from the last season. I don’t know how they make these decisions. The team is currently filled with young players who are unable to perform at the level that they are supposed to. Nkuknku is also another failure. He also hasn't performed like he was supposed to. There are reports of Gundogan returning to Manchester city as he’s wanted by Pep Guardiola. Who would've thought Gundogan would be leaving Barcelona to return to Manchester City after how many seasons.

I don’t know how I feel about his return, but they have used him before and Pep knows exactly what he offers. Exactly same set of players he left in the dressing room last season. For pep, it's plug and play. He understands what the manager wants from him and he doesn't have to take time to fit in and blend in. I think it’s a win win for all parties. Gundogan back in City's midfield strengthens them big time.

IIkay Gündoğan is an important instrument when he was under Pep Guardiola management. He explored and turn out to become one of the very developing players that made crucial contributions to the team's performance and stats. First they said something like the Red Devils has given up on the signing. But it has made me happy to hear that they are back in it.    Ugarte is a wonderful choice for DM position. This is going to be like the last piece of the puzzle in the defense line for them. de Ligt, Mazraoui and now Ugarte... Erik ten Hag is building a solid defense but I hope it helps them ASAP to fix the weaknesses.

Fabrizio just tweeted that it's done deal, Ilkay is going back. I do not know why he had to leave if he could have stayed though? From what I can see the talks are about two seasons contract, which would be very good for him, I do not think that it's going to be bad at all, two seasons of Ilkay would definitely help City. Fans want Dybala to stay but all decisions are ultimately based on Dybala and Roma club management who are in control so regardless of how much interest the fans have in trying to keep Dybala it seems that when the decision is made especially when Dybala is interested in being at Al Qadsiyah then indeed he could leave for now.
