Hi all!
I'm excited to introduce you our updated sumo mining pool.

This is the new sumo mining era with unique features:
  • PPLNS mining systems
  • PaymentID payments for Exchanges
  • Custom payment thresholds for normal wallets + exchanges
  • Per-Worker hashrate charts
  • E-mail notifications
  • Rich statistics on the awesome dashboard

Feel free to email me at support@sumomining.pro or mention me in chatango chat right on the pool page in case you have any question.

And.. welcome!

Nice looking dashboard and getting started pages.

Hoping Sumo is a good candidate for mining once ETH mining becomes impractical.

Strange... never heard of this before. Can you report your OS? Would be nice if dev are able to remove a bug if there really is one.

Just using Win 10 Home. Yeah I've sadly run into issue after issue trying to get the wallet to work. Half the time I try to load it up, it just gets stuck at "Loading wallet" for ever and ever. Would be tolerable if the blockchain didn't need to be re-downloaded every time I try to start fresh. Do you happen to know how to utilize that blockchain bootstrapper I saw listed on the website? Like where am I placing the file, and such? Just same folder as the actual blockchain would be located?

Due to the wallet issues I had to abandon any mining with pool.sumokoin and go for the previously mentioned fairpool as at least they allow the Cryptopia Payment IDs. But while that pool is nice and spiffy that decision kind of blows since it's like 12+ hours per block, and then all that time gets wasted as a 1Mh/s NiceHasher decides to randomly show up, find us the block, and also kill all my expected earnings during that period.

hi, still having difficulty? maybe you could try, control, alt, del. enter "start task master".
go to processes. find wallet.exe and highlight then click "end process". then restart wallet
or if need to, delete files and start new wallet. enter mnemonic seed. hope this helps?

I know difficulty is a problem but if this coin is a fork of mine to it'd be nice if there is merged mining so we can mine both coins at once monero and sumokoin. What do you think? Doge got a second life after you could merge mine with litecoin

@Billaue, it would be great if you guys could make this happen. Merge mining has many benefits, and few downsides. I can go into detail if you are unfamiliar with the topic. There was a cryptonote coin called fantomcoin that had merge mining support, not sure if that would still be a useful reference though since its abandoned. Even if its not possible to merge mine with monero, perhaps Sumokoin could be a parent chain for other coins to merge with. Just brainstorming but I think sunk818 made a good suggestion

Technically merge mining is a question to the pool and miner software, but not to the coin specs.

I am watching for this coin for long time and Sumokoin is rising up during the past . It's quite good to join this game .
I'm buying some amounts of sumokoins and I will hold it at least 1 or 2 months or even 3 months more  to wait for different big exchanges to list this coin. Do you intend to list this coin on the different exchanges like livecoin, ccex, poloniex or bittrex exchange?
Hoping for more good news.

Wallet Issues:

1. I can't get network synchronization when I open the wallet

2. Why does the blockchain have to be resynced from 0 every time I open the wallet?

Am I the only one having these wallet issues?

Did you read the other replies to those problems here on the threat? Have you tried those suggestions? What OS do you use?

Try to delete C:\ProgramData\sumokoin and / or run the wallet as admin. This should help.

FYI, devs won't go anywhere and are working on:

1. GUI Wallet bugs: these nasty bugs (not able to connect to/sync with network and corrupted wallet files) have been addressed and fixed at the next minor release in a couple of days.

2. Core devs: the subaddress codes will be on Github for community test by the end of this month and will come to official release when no issues found (probably in October)

3. New website and rebranding: we are plan to introduce new website on early October, new brand/new color theme then will be requested to update on all other sites.

4. Exchanges: we are still working to get SUMOKOIN listed on other big exchanges. We'll update info when we have firm confirmation from any of them.

Thanks a lot for your kind supports.

~8.8 million, 98% locked in escrowed wallets

I hoped this would be like a "fair" monero (and maybe it is).
But this has kept me from investing in the project unfortunately.
