Im planning to invest in buying 4 1080ti. What tactics you should recommend - start it with nicehash and then monitor trashcoins that are good in the beginnig?
Also please tell me if anybody uses this card with HiveOS?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

You kinda have this " I'm-greedy-too-vibe". Just like user sp_ you will probably ask a price that's ridiculous low to big miners (with a lot of rigs) or ridiculous high to small miners (like me). I'm getting fed up with this forum lately. What happend to the "we-are-here-to-help-mentality"? It's not just you, it's everywhere on this site lately. I guess greed is the engine that drives it all. My post is about you can do it by yourself relatively easy ... If you cannot I think paying some fee for consultation is normal "some fee"... why not openly post your "asking price"? Why by PM? |

I started out with NH for my first 1080 Ti. Then I saw that HashRefinery was earning me more. And then Ahashpool. BTC is going up in value the last couple of days. I suggest you try several pools before "settling down". If you earn $1 more per day at another pool, why not make the switch? In the end it's $365 extra. |

I'm trying to get the maximum hash possible which requires higher TDP while at the same time attempting to keep heat down.
If I have to roll back TDP because of heat then I will. Partly why I'm fishing around for heat figures and what is deemed generally good values to shoot for.
You did mind that your cards will reach their life end way earlier if you run them @100%? I think people make up a lot of these "theories" or numbers. These cards are designed to run >70. Either way, most cards have 3-4 year warranties... |

I just added two msi duke cards and with 100% tdp 80% fan they run about 63-64c. This is in a 6gpu frame with fans blowing on them ambient 20-22c.
Kinda disappointed they run so warm with huge coolers on them.
What do you guys like to see for temps? Is mid 60s OK for 24/7 use?

On 03.02.2018 I was making 0.05ETH in 69hours with 5 x 1080ti with ethminer at 38h/s per card. Your hashrate is very lower at 38h/s, other software would yield a different hashrate, Maybe ethminer is only showing a lower hashrate than it's actually mining. |

they have no exchange yet. every shitcoin getting some exchange in a week or less and they have nothing for a month... a mount ago not ready gpu minning cpu minning 3- 4 week ago started nvidia minning 2 week ago amd new realesing exchange bonus coming soon. So step by step growing  |

Interestingly I just read that running phi with an intensity of 22 helps cut temps down slightly. It not only cut a degree off my temps but increased hash slightly as well. Since my rig is a mutt with many different makes/models in play it is harder to tweak and get maximum output. Requires a lot of time babysitting the client to make sure it doesn't go down after the last clock adjustment, etc.. This is part of the fun yes? That said I wish I had all the same models just from a simplification point of view. The aorus extreme is the best one I've used so far even though I can't seem to get it clocked much higher than the out of box speeds. It runs cool, quiet, and is fairly quick. |

I'm fine with those temperatures too. I try to keep things below 80C for the max whenever possible, with ~70C being the goal. |

you should definitely shoot for less than 70 degrees. While the card can function above 70 degrees, it's not designed for continuous and optimal use at that temperature, and is likely to reduce the longevity of the card considerably...

Thought I'd jump in the mix and give data of what I'm seeing. I bought a Gigabyte 1080ti watercooled, and MSI Gaming 1080ti X, and an EVGA 1080ti. The Gigabyte has the best hash rate and lowest temp (duh), the EVGA isn't far behind, and the MSI is in last place. I'll post some numbers up soon.

i'd like to see the numbers, I bought a snowblind 942 gaming computer and it came with the msi 1080ti gpu. currently I've gotten 64mh/s consistently on nicehash, but when I script mine i'm getting 70 mh/s or a little more. running 83 degree Celsius with this current card. no overclocking done. are the numbers that different? |
