I think two bitcoins per child should be enough for them who are going to be a parent in this year. One bitcoin would help them to complete their studies and other living necessities and another one would help them to buy a house and vehicles. I am considering the picture of 15+ years when they will be mature enough and bitcoin would have the 100X price.
Not a bad suggestion either but will you prefer your kids work for their own money or you want to fend for them after you're old. I think the best is to cater for their education and let them continue the rest so for me 1 BTC per child is okay. Yeah, since I know that bitcoin's price that time will be that high for us to just give them 2 bitcoin just to be use on their study. But don't you think that it would be better if you are going to teach them about it so, they could have more money and also us. Although we have to consider the opinion of our children if they want to learn this stuff or what. LOL. Giving the money the children is not a good idea and it will make them become badder. Just try to teach them how to use bitcoin and give them a small amount of bitcoin. Not the whole 2 bitcoin like that. Give them 0.1 bitcoin is better That's not necessarily bad, but if you give them money freely, you will create bad habits for them, and when they grow up, they will waste money, for the kids, we Pay attention to them in the best way, teach them how to save money. i agree on this, it's the same logic behind giving people bitcon for free, they will dump and forget about bitcoin, it's better to make them buy on the market and help the market grow, or force them to acquire via other ways, and help bitcoin getting more popular I respect everyone's opinion here but at the same time I think, giving money isn't about transferring the bitcoin in their wallet. It's about spending for their quality education and maintaing the good living conditions which will help them to grow as a healthy, educated & self sutainable human being. They can manage the rest of their life with the education and skills they acquired.

Great that people are saving up for their children through bitcoins, it is a good investment too that could grow over time.

To all parents and soon to be parents out there, Plan for your children or future children by saving Bitcoin for them. Buying them bit by bit would be a great investment for the future of your kids. I am saying that you must have a new wallet for your kids so that when they come at the right age, you can give them that wallet and imagine how bright their future will be. You can hold bitcoin for their education, life plans, or whatever you think of. I believe that if you start storing bitcoin for them now, a bright future is ahead of them I agree with saving Bitcoin for the future of your children but i disagree if you will buy Bitcoin even if its bit by bit because you need to think also of the worst case scenario. What if Bitcoin suddenly destroyed?. So if i were you if you want to save Bitcoin for your future children then i suggest don't buy Bitcoin instead join signature campaign and bounties and save those Bitcoin you get from joining signature or bounties for the future. That way if in the future if Bitcoin will be destroyed you will only wasted your time but not your money. Well I have a problem with this topic suppose my present or future is secure it mean that I have a secure future for my child too. If I have an insecure future then my kids definitely will be having an insecure future. So, why do the writer have put the word children in the text? To make it more sensitive or to let the users realize that the Bitcoin is not a short term investment.

investing on bitcoin will be a great investment for a future children , in fact earning bitcoin and stored it for awhile until we needed an amount of money for our children is good investment. i will earn for now as much as i could , so that i will not be problematic on the future, so that i could give my children a bright future and i can provide their needs too.

It might be a good idea but diversifying is always a smarter move. The future is bright for bitcoin and we all know that, however there is also a possibility that everything would crumble. Needless to say, putting all that you have in bitcoin today would be a good bet for tomorrow, but what about the coming years where we are uncertain? Crypto assets and real estate would be my investment and where will I put most of my money.

You are far better off putting it into index funds and mutual funds, assuming it will be there for 10+ years. The risk vs reward over 10+ years for those funds is extremely favorable and for bitcoin it absolutely is not. This isn't really a debatable topic either - investing in any asset that is less than 10 years old, for a duration of 10+ years, is going to be riskier than investing in something that has had consistent behavior for over 100 years. I happen to believe that bitcoin has a bright future but anybody who feels confident enough in that to put their children's savings into it is being foolish. Bitcoin investments should be made using money that you can afford to lose. I think the whole idea of op is not to tie down some Bitcoin for 10 or more years. But rather a move to take advantage of the impressive price surge in the price of Bitcoin as some fund left in some Bitcoin wallet for a year or two can double or even triple and can then be withdrawn and transferred to mutual funds for instance.

I would never classify my suggestion as as "extremely irresponsible decision." First of all I am not a parent but I will speak like a parent, as a parent, I will decide and choose what I think is best for my kids. And if I think that investing in Bitcoin is best, then you cannot question my thoughts, you do not even have the right to do so. I never forced you to follow the suggestion in OP so you have the right to accept or neglect. If you think that investing in mutual funds is the best for your kids then do so, I don't give a damn on your thoughts and decisions. OP, you said it as if the price of Bitcoin will forever continue on the up trend. Investing in Bitcoin is like investing in any other business. Businesses do have their downtrend from time to time. If in doubt, you may want to find out from Mark Zukerberg or Bill Gates. I am one of the VERY few who believes that Bitcoin will not forever trend upwards in price. In fact, a time will come when other coins will go top it.
I, myself, believe in bitcoin. However, I choose to be wise in this type of environment. I did not claim that bitcoin will stay forever nor bitcoin will continue upward but we all hope that bitcoin will be the apple of our eyes forever. The OP is just a suggestion and all are free to do what they will. I believe in Bitcoin so I want to invest in bitcoin. Regardless of the risk and uncertainties, I will invest but I will monitor and be a wise investor.
You cannot be too sure. That is only for you or for the whole family, but consider the uncertainties of life. Even though if you have a secured future today, all things may fall apart due to some reasons. So in order to secure the future of your kids, you have to have a separate way of securing their future. You must not depend on the now. Yes you have to prepare for the future of yourself and your family and that includes a separate preparation to the future of your kids. The word "children" is included because it is about them. About securing their future. Not to make it sensitive but to make an emphasis. Most users know that bitcoin is a long term investment, you have to take note that mate. If you are serious about saving money for your kids' education or future needs, putting that money in bitcoin is an extremely irresponsible decision.

But rather a move to take advantage of the impressive price surge in the price of Bitcoin as some fund left in some Bitcoin wallet for a year or two can double or even triple and can then be withdrawn and transferred to mutual funds for instance. I say that you got a wise head there mate. The suggestion does not say everything and others must think and be wise about this king of thought. If uncertainties happen, be wise and do some actions. The future of you kids is at stake, I believe in Bitcoin but having caution is always safer. Everybody has their own interpretation about the suggestion. Accepting it as is without having further studies might lead to failure. Being wise is not evil, right?

Sure they deserve that bright future and so I'm stocking up bitcoins for their future and now that we are at the early adopters stage I'm hoping we could get more people on board to increase demand and prices for us to profit in the long term.

Wow that's actually a great idea. So far i never thought to invest bitcoin for my future child, since i'm still so young and don't plan to have child soon. I only think to invest bitcoin for my future self lol. But reading this make me realize that it's not bad idea, since i know how hard it is for parents to give their child a bright future. But this is quite risky, knowing that the price of bitcoin is fluctuating and we won't know if the price will stay increasing or crash. So i don't know is this really a good decision? Won't it better to save the money in bank or investing it in something else?

Going to play the contrarian opinion here. What if your kids end up to be miserable sons of bitches that are unworthy of an inheritance? Don't you think you should see what the tree has produced before thinking about leaving them anything? Don't you think your kids ought to earn their own money? Don't you think leaving your bitcoin hoard to a worthwhile charity might be the better option? I'm not a big fan of kids--especially your kids--and I'm even less of a fan of inheritances.

Great that people are saving up for their children through bitcoins, it is a good investment too that could grow over time. I would like to quote Hal's words here, he says with the ALS, my life is very satisfying. But my life expectancy is limited. Those discussions about inheriting your bitcoins are of more than academic interest. My bitcoins are stored in our safe deposit box, and my son and daughter are tech savvy. I think they're safe enough. I'm comfortable with my legacy. [edited slightly] Even being the earliest adopter he thinks that he should save his bitcoins for his kids (even though there were some more reasons behind it). I think, saving something for kids will pay off them in future and trust me it would be the most satisfying thing we will feel when we look back after 10 years.

To give your child a bright future, encourage them to study harder while you are investing bitcoin for their future. It is important that the next generation is well equipped through education so that they wont look foolish. It's good if we invest money for them but we must also invest love and effort to them so they would appreciate the hardwork you've made for them.

we can give great bright future to our children, one is to give the standard education and the send is to make some investment and saving for them. i think that in modern time there will be a lot of competition. it will be even become very difficult to survive and spend a standard life. therefore is is our duty may their life more comfortable and easy, therefore to me i think investment in bitcoin can solve most of our such problems.
