LOL, what dude...?
Right now I am attempting to mine with pooler's cpuminer because it's to my understanding that gpu mining doesn't work...
I suppose I probably should have asked if cpuminer is still compatible or not (I don't know because I haven't found sh*t yet).
If my hand is in the cookie jar, it is an EMPTY cookie jar...
Ah, the blind leading the blind, eh? Maybe look up how it works first before telling others your incorrect concept of how it works. Using working miner code such as that built into the client might help fill your jar a little. -MarkM-

EDIT: Anyone selling lists of IPs of nodes to add? Working on setting up a public node with maxconnections=1024 that is non-mining (for better responsiveness) & ssd for faster I/O. When I succeed I'll post with IP for another -addnode those firewall-restricted people can use :-)

Hmm, behind someone else's firewall... opened port 7688 here, but that would just allow incoming/outgoing until it get's to the outside firewall, so still only 8 connections. Any way to up the default connections?
Maybe a bunch of "addnode="...?

port open and 50 active connections = 5 blocks in last 20min. Win.

Well, after opening the port I have 40 active connections and no blocks I wonder if this is ever going to work... My machine here at home with only 8 connections (darn router's ancient version of UPNP doesn't work with miniUPNP) found some blocks already, though seems to be finding less in last hour than in previous hour. Only four cores and not the fancy two-thread cores, too. My server that I discovered the ports thing with though found a block within minutes of getting more connections but maybe it (and its 8 threads, 2 per each of four cores) merely got lucky as it seems to have only gotten maybe five or so confirmed ones now. All since opening the port. -MarkM-

You have to install depencies first : sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb5.1++-dev libminiupnpc-dev then cd yacoin (the folder created by git, and stay there, dont go to src) qmake make

You are really getting on my fucking nerves the past couple of days. He asked how to get more connections to the network. You do so by forwarding the listen port to the computer hosting the client. The only thing I told him that was incorrect was the port number, I accidentally told him to forward the rpc port instead of the listen port. Maybe STFU next time before giving me attitude for trying to help someone else out.

I mining on 4 cores only on my i7 2600k. Should I change it to mine on 8 cores with the extra threads. Power usages is like 10watts more only and about 2-3c higher only on 4.8ghz.

the devs are beings slow, anyone else wanna team up n make a pool for these poor souls who aint got nothing yet? coz at this point, it's wishful thinking for anyone below 8 threads to get a block in 5 hours
Are we mining the same coin? For some reason, I keep getting valid blocks all the time.

How do you check stats, like you would with a normal miner?
